Caroline said few months ago that new generation is ready to challenge Serena. Due to Caroline can't challenge Serena in New York this year I guess Sara will challenge Serena.

Serena will definitely have trouble with Errani's various topspin and slice shots and I remember her having serious trouble with Jie's nothing serve back in Wimbledon. Her return game was looking shaky today, too. Should be a competitive match although I can't see Errani actually winning.

That non-serve of Errani could throw Serena off for a couple of games. Just like Serena's match against Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, Serena is going to win. Congrats of course to Sara for reaching this round..but if Serena plays her normal game, it's gonna be 6-2 6-2 something like that.
The difference in serve and firepower is too huge.

Sara would have to play the match of her career for it to be close. Clay would help her a lot. She should watch some of Jankovic's matches against Serena. The key would be for Sara to wrong foot Serena down the line when she's under attack, either with the FH or the BH. Her serve will be constantly eaten up and she won't even touch Serena's missiles from the first strike, but she's a tactician and will know where to stand to return those balls, even though her ROS is subpar at best. She'll need to extend all the rallies and throw in loads of netplay. Topsing FH to Serena's backhand is a must in this match-up too.

Who knows? Weirder things have happened in tennis. But I just don't see it happening.

Blablabla I could say that Maria was also not lucky to play seeds before the semis unlike Vika and Serena.
Vika getting Stosur (her bitch) and I dont even know who in the 4th round and Serena a cakewalk but of course you won't argue about this.

And we saw in the semis that Vika had barely the edge in the semis, Maria had more chances to win this match in straights than Vika so again, stop spewing shit. You thought that Vika was going to win this 1 and 4 and here you were wrong.
