How is it not??? Considering there are hundreds of active players that have played a GS and only 12....TWELVE have done this, i'd say it is quite elusive. And considering that 9 of the 12 are GS champs and the other 3 have made a GS Final or several SF's i'd say it for sure is.

Actually it's just a list,

that's what it is, it's a list, nothing more, nothing less. you don't have to complicate things and make mountains out of mole hills.

Do it with the men. Just as difficult. It's a very rare thing to do. The Big 4 + Nalbandian. Everyone else (quick thought off hand) is missing one.

Safina is temporary not active , Clijsters is considered active by the end of US Open ....

And yes only now I understand how much better were Safina and especailly Dementieva than for instance Wozniacki

Better to be one tournament wonder than to have a long consistent career ?

Why not. A long consistent career without any slam final is a bit frustrating. You hardly come to be a slam wonder without talent and work anyway, no matter the ups and downs.

It's only two weeks.. Two weeks of a success and then years of frustrations ??.. Nope

Domi reached there first before the likes of Aga, Petra, JJ :rolls:

and Dani the only one who needs RG to complete the feat among those who have achieved in 3 other slams.:oh:

A big run at a slam is certainly something good to recall for life. That means six wins in a row at least. Finalist, you have a trophy. I have much respect for consistent players, but to always fall in quarters or semis is quite unfortunate, especially if you've been constantly close. I, for one, would exchange twelve quarters for one final.

Amazing that Domi has done this and yet she has never been top ten. Very curious, shows how erratic she is.

One would think that players like Jankovic and Stosur did it... And I was convinced that Makarova had one deep run at WB.

Jankovic has missed so many easy chances at Wimbledon in the past, though.

As for Stosur.. She's usually allergic to playing in Australia and on grass. She still to find the cure for those.
