Kudos to Anna, it was much closer than the score. She won 49 points what could be purely theoretically enough for winning 2 sets and she won just 4 games with that.

Tatishvili :awww: if only she had a bit more firepower she could have given Azarenka a real test. Unfortunately despite her impressive ballstriking today she's just too lightweight, not to mention she was nervous.

Anna has showed her actual class at the last 3 games. That's a shame. She can be a very good player. But she's still young, so will see.

Match was alot closer than than the scoreline indicates. If Tatishvili actually had a decent serve it would she would have given Vika all she could handle. I can't wait for the Stosur match.

:( Only saw the second set. Early, Victoria was really not having good penetration with her forehand corrected though later in the set. Well she's always due to have a little dip like this, wins in straight, hopefully now it's a straight road to the F smashing the remaining top girls one by one. :cheer:

This match was not as comfortable for Vika as the scoreline suggests. Some unusual misses off the ground plus Tatishvili's good play made the match very close at times. In the end Vika was the one to win the big points and that made the difference. Never in doubt.

Azarenka is setting herself up to become the new Clijsters. These hard court tournaments are what she absolutely thrives on. Didn't get to see the match but it sounds like it was a lot closer than the score tells.

Really impressed with Tatishvili tonight. She could be at least top 30 playing like that consistently. A couple of those down the line winners on the run were amazing. If nothing else, she put up way more of a fight than Minella ever would have.
