I really think Serena should run around her forehand more. Her forehand is better than her backhand IMO.

What do you guys think?

When it's on it is the FH

Both are club-level [...] Serena is all-serve [...]

You mean run around her backhand more, then. And yes I also think her FH is better.

when the forehand is on, then Serena's pretty much unbeatable.

Backhand is more consistent, forehand is the one that destroys opponents when on.

Forehand these days is both her most lethal shot AND her most consistent. Backhand has been awful since she came back last year, with the exception of her match against Stosur in Charleston.

Most of her errors in the match today was from her forehand wing

FH is more of the shotmaker, but is the side which cracks first. When she gets tight, she'll be too close to the ball and gets the swing all wrong, but geneerally not on the BH.

I don't even agree that her forehand is the one more prone to breaking down. Historically it was, but it's usually her backhand that completely breaks down first these days. Some of her misses off that wing in the 3rd set against Razzano :spit:

Agree with the thread starter, the FH is better.

Her BH is sometimes hard to watch.

Her forehand is the money shot. But it can go off horribly as well. Her forehand in her loss to Woz in Miami was atrocious. Hitting everything feet out on that shot.
