Does anybody know who helps coaching Italy's Fed Cup team? And who they coach on the regular tour? The thought occurred to me while I was watching the Vinci/Cibulkova match. We know Italy won in 2006,2009 and 2010. But something that stands out to me is the Italy/Russia tie in 2011. Schiavone and Pennetta were hurt, and for the first time, Errani and Vinci got to play 2 singles rubbers, instead of just doubles. They lost, but look at what they have done since then in singles and doubles. Was the fact that they got to prepare as #1 and #2 give them confidence? Or are Italy's coaches that good?

I don't think to have played as #1 and #2 in a Fed Cup tie they lost badly, has helped them to gain confidence and do well in singles. ;) I do think that their Fed Cup success in general, and the team and teamspirit has helped them.

Anyway, the Italian FC coach is Corrado Barazzutti.

i doubt it because Barazzutti is just so....clueless
Roby and Sara have 2 excellent coaches and they have a BIG part in their success.
