View Full Version : Next player to break top 10

This year we have Kerber and Errani breaking the top 10 for the first time. Likely that Kanepi would've broken top 10 if she hadn't gotten injured. Cibulkova was 1 match away but failed.

Kirilenko is the most obvious one. But Safarova has also been creeping up the ranks.

Kirilenko is the most obvious choice. Then we have to deal with seeing Ovechkin's mug time and time again, at least until the end of the world in December.

If Kiri had not been so shitty during clay season, she would probably be top 10 now

I think she has to wait 2013 to enter eventually top 10, she has two QF in Tokyo and Beijing to defend, plus her R4 point in New York, plus a SF in the MM Guangzhou...

I don't see any new TOP10 player in this season.

But who knows? One fluke slam's final or amazing form in Asian swing and even Vinci can become TOP10 player...

A slam final could change it ALL for any player in the top 50... :)

Kirilenko hopefully :inlove:

VIP :oh:

In all seriousness if Kanepi didn't get injured, she'd probably already be there :sobbing:

Hm, yeah if kiri can defend her R4 points here at the USO, plus her two QF from tokyo and peking plus maybe a SF or even F at seoul for example, then she could make it! But it still depends on the others then I guess...

Kaia would easily be Top 10 if she didn't get Injuries every Half-Season :sobbing:

Cornet, Peer & Cibulkova were one match away from top10 and they never made it.

hands up if you saw Kerber or Errani as next?
*insert dsanders06 joke here*

Kirilenko has points to defend from fall last year, so unless she does outstandingly well she won't break top10. And then who would fall out? Maybe Bartoli as she has some points to defend. Errani and Li Na have almost none... Stosur hasnt done that great either apart from YEC SF.

Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor. She will emulate Errani's 2012 run by winning having a 95% win record on clay and a 5% record on everything else.

Just for the fun of it, technically Sara's 2012 run would be 66% Clay, 34% everything else.
Mostly due to her FO final, but who's counting..... :)
