1. Estonia
2. Greece

3. Finland
4. South Africa

5. Latvia
6. Montenegro

7. Tunisia
8. Lithuania

If all countries bring their top teams I think that in order of favourites to least favourites it would have to be:
1. Estonia (Kanepi + Kontaveit)
2. South Africa (Grandin, Scheepers + Simmonds)
3. Latvia (Sevastova, Marcinkevica, Dekmeijere + Ostapenko)
4. Greece (Daniilidou, Papamichail)
5. Finland, Tunisia (Suomalainen + Laine, Jabeur)
7. Montenegro (Kovinic)
8. Lithuania (Stanciute)

Doubt Daniilidou will play, especially now that Gerasimou retired, Georgatou is taking a break, and Papamichail is in a massive slump. And if she does play, Sakkari would probably be our #2 with the way Papamichail is playing

If Daniilidou has any intent of playing in Rio, which she probably doesn't, then she would have to play :)

What would be the point of Scheepers playing now? :spit: She could have played earlier and accepted to go the Olympics. No way she would go play here and own some of these girls.

Latvian team the strongest out there, imo.

I don't think Scheepers will play. I think she wants to become American citizen so what is the point.

I didn't know Scheepers wanted to be an American, but it explains a lot. Anderson wants to be as well. The federation must be really bad

And oh yeah now they made that new rule about being available every year. But that means nothing as Federations can lie just like the Greeks did so Eleni could play in Beijing :p

If all teams put forth their best teams, I think it is almost inevitable that either Estonia or Latvia will be promoted.

Latvia is actually really strong now with Sevastova coming back, Dekmeijere improving and Marcinkevica and Ostapenko rising really quickly :)

Estonia on the other hand, has talent but a huge lack of depth. I just hope that Kaia will play :(

If only Margit could come back as a doubles player, although Eva and Tatja are a good team :)

OMG Finland won
Sakkari is worse than Vorobjova and Hendsel :oh:
If only Julia Matojan had a fucking head which a comeback player should have
Stuck in Zone III for eternity
At least we will probably get to host which means Anett may play, although vastly unlikely :(

BTW, what happens with Wozniacki?
Will she have to play Group III :haha:

I thought this Sakkari chick was suppossed to be good...:spit:

She's good and a hard worker, but she has no brain whatsoever and sucks so much under pressure. It's pathetic :o. She is 0-9 in Fed Cup

And whenever she bombs out early in a tournament, she withdraws from the next few and disappears for a little bit, like she's afraid to lose
And she needs to stick to 10Ks, she still hasn't won one and she thinks she's some superstar and tries to play bigger tournaments sometimes. I love her but I question her career choices

Greece relegated
Thanks so much Eleni, once again you've caused us relegation :D
6th straight tie that Greece lost by deciding doubles, it's ridiculous, and Eleni wasnt in any of them. The last 3 times we've been relegated, Eleni didn't play, and we lost a deciding doubles in 3 tight sets. Says a lot. Eleni just doesn't give a shit now that she doesn't have Anna or Eirini and Despina needs her as a mentor. And we suck at doubles because our girls never play doubles except for Papamichail. And yeah it was smart to not take Grammatikopoulou to Montenegro :weirdo:
The only one who can't be blamed is Papamichail, for once it isn't her fault

Oh well, if our girls don't care about Fed Cup, why should I?

Especially the Maria part :D
She was so shit here: Tatjana Vorobjova who has won 1 match ever on the Pro-Circuit (against Estlander who was never great) last in 3 close sets while Maria lost 0 and 2 :haha:
She also got smashed by Simmonds while Hendsel did much better :D

BTW Meelis, Hendsel and Matojan aren't very Estonian names. Are they of Estonian origin? :)
