Australia - yes

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Czech Republic - yes
Where is my home, where is my home?
Water roars across the meadows,
Pinewoods rustle among crags,
The garden is glorious with spring blossom,
Paradise on earth it is to see.
And this is that beautiful land,
The Czech land, my home,
The Czech land, my home.

Translation of the Singaporean one ;)

Come, fellow Singaporeans
Let us progress towards happiness together
May our noble aspiration bring
Singapore success

Come, let us unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

Come, let us unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

O Canada... eh? (OK, I added the eh?) :p

O Canada!
Our home and native land
True patriot love
in all thy sons command

With glowing hearts
we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free

From far and wide
O Canada
we stand on guard for thee

God keep our land
glorious and free
O Canada
we stand on guard for thee

O Canada
we stand on guard for thee

(Not totally pacifist, but "stand on guard for thee" doesn't necessarily presume a war). :angel:

Of course the real Canuck anthem (writer and singer born Roberta Joan Anderson in Lethbridge, Alberta) is better. ;)

I personally find China's national anthem so outdated and no longer a relfection of their society.....

Arise! All those who don't want to be slaves!
Let our flesh and blood forge our new Great Wall!
As the Chinese people have arrived at their most perilous time.
Every person is forced to expel his very last cry.
Arise! Arise! Arise!
Our million hearts beating as one,
Brave the enemy's fire, March on!
Brave the enemy's fire, March on!
March on! March on! On!

Our anthem has become redundant over the years too, but a lot of it is bearly ever acknowledged.

Verse 1 and 3 are really the only relevant ones nowadays, they are the only one's we sing.

A lot of people say that but I tend to disagree. I like the anthem. I think it has a sense of joy and co-operation that is distinctly Australian.

We reference battle only, so we're half way there. Depending on official language, text is slightly different

Current French version (in English)

O Belgium - O mother dear -
To you we stretch our hearts and arms,
With blood to spill for you, O fatherland!
We swear with one cry - You shall live!
You shall live, so great and beautiful,
And your invincible unity
Shall have for device immortal -
The King, and Law, and Liberty!
Shall have for device immortal -
The King, and Law, and Liberty!
The King, and Law, and Liberty!
The King, and Law, and Liberty!

Current Dutch version (in English)

O dear Belgium, O holy land of our fathers -
Our soul and our hearts are devoted to you!
Accept our strength and the blood in our veins,
Be our goal, in work and struggle.
Prosper, O land, in unbreakable unity;
Always be yourself and serve no other,
Faithful to the word that you may speak boldly,
For King, for Freedom and for Law!
Faithful to the word that you may speak boldly,
For King, for Freedom and for Law!
For King, for Freedom and for Law!
For King, for Freedom and for Law!

Current German version (in English)

O dear country, O Belgium's soil,
To you our hearts, our hands to you,
To you our blood, O native land,
We swear to you, O fatherland!
So gladly bloom in beauty full,
Into what freedom has taught you to be,
And evermore shall sing your sons:
To Law and King and Freedom, hail!
And evermore shall sing your sons:
To Law and King and Freedom, hail!
To Law and King and Freedom, hail!
To Law and King and Freedom, hail!

Bulgaria's doesn't have a reference to war. It has also a powerful, very solemn melody. I took the translation from Wikipedia and it's quite a bad one but it shows no mentions to war:

FP3zAdLkVrQ

Dear Motherland (Mila rodino)

Proud Balkan Mountains,
next to it the Danube sparkles,
the sun shines over Thrace,
and blazes over Pirin.

Refrain: (twice)

Dear Motherland,
you are heaven on earth,
your beauty, your loveliness,
ah, they are boundless.

Luxembourg, the country I lived in for 13 years doesn't have mentions to war either, at least in the first part and about the second.. I will post it and you will decide if this counts as war ;). The first part is outstandingly similar to the Bulgarian ;)

Dear Motherland

Where slow you see the Alzette flow,
The Sura play wild pranks,
Where lovely vineyards amply grow,
Upon the Moselle's banks,
There lies the land for which our thanks
Are owed to God above,
Our own, our native land which ranks
Well foremost in our love.

(repeat previous two lines)

Oh Father in Heaven, Whose powerful hand
Makes states or lays them low,
Protect the Luxembourger land
From foreign yoke and woe.
God's golden liberty bestow
On us now as of yore.
Let Freedom's sun in glory glow
For now and evermore.

(repeat previous two lines)
