Chakhnashvili an Olympian? I hope she enjoys the experience. Shame to see a bye there. Break the rules and ship in another Brit pair who are nearby ;) or Castano is in Europe, I'm sure she'd have been happy to play at the last minute with Duque Marino.

Not too bad for Chinese girls, certainly no good for Laura/Heather, surprised to see GB vs Germany 1st round:shrug:

although i'm german i think it's sad but fair that kerber/liscki vs williams/williams as they have to be seeded and not kerber/lisicki

good draw for the gold for williams sisters

When will people learn how to spell Anna-Lena Groenefeld (actually Grönefeld) correctly? :o

Jul 26th, 2012, 12:26 PM
The oe is a standard variation of ö for all media as the umlaut does not always display correctly !!!!

I know, he has edited her name. But it was Gronefeld at first, and I've seen this so many times over the years that I just felt like saying something.

No, because you can also type Groenefeld easily. When you read Gronefeld, you will also totally mispronounce her name as well. :-)

The World famous BYE has won the ITF Vote !!!

I think, they could have, at least, drawn the BYE, so one team gets lucky, not just give it to the no1 seeds, who are not playing singles (other than most of the doubles players) and will have enough rest anyways.

BYE?
