Welcome to Bastad, Sweden! Wimbledon has just finished and now we move back to the clay courts for some international tournaments. These clay court tournaments are good players to get some easy points here. One of these players is former top twenty player, Julia Goerges, who will be partnering with with Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, also a former top twenty player, in the doubles draw this week. Both players have been up and down this year and will try to improve with the help of doubles and are the top seeds. The second seeds are Olga Govortsova and Klaudia Jans-Ignacik, but they will meet firm opposition from the other teams in the draw as there are two dark horse teams in the running with Sofia Arvidsson and Johanna Larssson, and Jill Craybas and Klara Zakopalova. As the clay court tournaments are back on, it is the time for youngsters to show their talents. Making the competition here in Bastad all the more important. Vote now as the Sony Ericsson Swedish Open Women begins!!!
