Run, Katie, run! I assume she finally managed to break free from the Scientologist brainwashing, or perhaps she developed a resistance to her usual dosage of whatever mind-controlling serum they were giving her. Take that little Suri and run far, far away from these greedy, shady fuckers.
^ I read that each of his wives were 10 years apart in age (although, not to the year) and each was 33 when he divorced them :eek:

Maybe a nutjob, but Katie clearly knew EXACTLY what she was signing up for when she signed the 5 year contract - it makes you think there really are no sane people in Hollywood.
This shit has been reported since April, I can't believe anyone was shocked this ended:

Run Katie, don't grab no shoes or nothing, just run out.
She did pretty well during the marriage, $3 million per year, if she could deal with wearing a strap on for 4 more years she would have gotten half of everything.

Why does everyone think he is gay? :confused:
Because he is.
It makes me SO mad to see that there are still people like Tom Cruise and John Travolta out there, who are so afraid of facing the world with their own sexuality they would actually pay someone to be their wives and have kids with them. It's because of people like them that gay men and women out there are still being discriminated against.

Partly agree. I do think bearding is weird but I don't know if I would come out if I had the status they have. Although John is not even trying to look like he isn't gay anymore imo. Anyway, I think your last sentence is strange. Famous people who don't come out is not the reason gays are still discriminated against.

I meant to say that as long as gay people don't stop being afraid of everybody else knowing what they are, being gay will still come across as a negative issue. It's one of many reasons, not the only one.
And don't go and say that Tom thinks his sexuality should be a private manner. That would be a double-standard, he's paraded all of his ex-wives around like some sort of trophy.
I mean, even if he came out, do you really think anyone would care that much? Or be utterly surprised? Is he going to stop being famous, or making movies, or being filthy rich? It's only an issue if you make it an issue.

You know, I also think it would be good for famous people to come out. So much gay sportspeople and movie stars but it still is too much of a step to take it seems? It's sad but I do think it still affects your career at that level. If not, there wouldn't be a hesitation to come out right? So I say, good for the ones brave enough to give out a clear signal but I can also relate to the ones not coming out (btw, I'm gay myself and coming out to my friends and family was hard enough, let alone coming out to the whole world. But well, maybe I am a coward?)

Agree. I don't think he's gay, just odd. A bit like Raffa, appears attractive but is somewhat sexless - hard to describe what I mean. But I don't think he's gay. I think he just loses interest sexually after he's been with someone for a while. What Mimi Rodgers and Rebecca De Mornay have said in the past rings true.

Holmes is no victim. I don't understand why people are saying what's she's doing is good. In my eyes she's far worse than Tom. And the way she treats her daughter as a doll, well therapy in later years beckons for the poor kid.

Some people are pathetic here.
Scientology is a cult. Who cares if Holmes was in love with Tom's money or not? Who really cares ? The bottom line is that she loves her daughter and doesn't want her to be involved in that cult.
No one knows what happened between them except that Cruise is in Scientology, that Holmes is always with her daughter and seems to love her, and that the Scientology is a creepy and dangerous cult.
EDIT : Also the fact that "she knew what she was getting herself into" is bullshit because he can hid you many things, you can hope to change things before realizing it's not happening, etc etc... it's much more complex.

the poor chile, it will become subject of a legal tug of war. ofc holmes knew what she was getting into. she knew he was active in the church and there is a lot of info available on the church. her daddy could have said as much to her beforehand, but instead he said tom is the right man. now he is leading the rescue mission. she knew that if she had a chile with tom it would become subject to programming, its probably all in the prenup. i just cant help thinking if only she had never become involved with dawsons creek she could have had a normal life

:unsure: Are you serious? Do you think the Scientology is a normal religion? :tape: :help:
But nevermind, it's the USA not France... because in France, we are very secular, and it's much better this way. I will answer the quote below then I will explain why I think the Scientology is a cult.
ikr? all religions are cults of different ages.
Yes and no.
Yes because there were so many wars because of the religions, and people thought it was for Jesus ~ while it was not at all. It was all for money and power. Poor people are mostly manipulated by religions.
No because to a lesser extent, my neighbour is not exactly manipulated by the Church everyday, he is not forced to go to the church every Sunday ... so yeah there are cults everywhere but to different scales so to speak.
Also, cults are not necessarily religious.

True, but at least it's better to gtfo now than never despite everything ...
Ok, now I am going to explain how things are in France irt religions.
Since 1905 there is a law that separates the head of the State from the Church.
Of course, there is still a freedom to practise religions, it should not be too obvious in public places (like wearing the veil at public school...) but in private schools, you can go to church with your class for some occasions... I had to go to a private school (better structures for me) and there was a small church there so...
But... Bush Senior was working with serious catholics (I forgot the name), there was a report about it in France, it was so creepy :unsure: :help: and that was why Bush was pro-life, and blablabla... they were interfering with his politics... something totally inacceptable in France... Sarkozy believes in God, he even met the Pope, etc. but he respected French secularism.
So there are less conflicts of interest in France. Thus there is a real fight against cults in France... how to say.... we are much more wary of these small cults here than in the US (I've talked to my American friends);
So here, it's common knowledge that Jehovah witnesses, the Scientology, etc.. are cults and can be dangerous....
I am not a fan of CONSPIRACY !!!!11!!!~~!!!*** but in the US, I guess they don't show you everything about these cults. I don't know. Maybe a matter of power and money?
Scientology deaths (http://www.xenu-directory.net/mirrors/www.whyaretheydead.net/)
=> Very creepy to read. :unsure: Annie R U OK is right....
Did you hear about the Sea Organization (http://exscientologykids.com/seaorg.html)?
Cults signs :
-> Money? Check (Tom Cruise, Will Smith... come on now)
-> Brainwashed? Check
-> Manipulation? it seems so.
-> Do they cut you from your beloved ones? In that case, I don't know. But it's true about the Jehovah witnesses, it's well known in France as we fight cults, well there were many creepy stories about them and many ex-witnesses had to rebuild a relationship with their beloved ones, etc... My American friends were shocked by that, they genuinely thought JW was a mere religion, not a cult.

If they reached such a quickie divorce, Tom must've agreed to no Scientology sh*t for Suri. Which, if that was the problem, why didn't he agree to that to avoid all this?

Well, perhaps the scientology gurus wouldn't allow the daughter to be ommitted from the "religion" if they were still married? Some federal law could have been brought up to protect the scientology alleged rights.
