You poor Ozzies! Evie and Christina would be lucky to beat their ITF little sisters. I guarantee that (if healthy), 14 year old Olivia Lukaszewicz will be better than any member of the 2 "sister acts" in probably 2 years, 3 @ the most.

Christina Wheeler has a little sis???

Evie is miles ahead of her own lil sis at the moment...as for Olivia, yes she is something to look out for.

Dont direspect evie! she was a top junior having beaten DOKIC about 3 times in juniors one of them being a 6-1 6-2 and HENIN in easy fashion once 6-4 6-3....

daniella and olivia can only dream for such an stellar juniors career and evie beat daniella in the finals of some sydney tourney 6-3 6-2 a few weeks back!

whilst im sure daniella and olivia will become decent pros one day :) and i think they have talent, its not fair to detract from evie because u feel the 'hype' from junior talents

I believe 14 y.o. Maria Wheeler is Christina's kid sis. And I'm not optimistic about Daniela Casanova's prospects, BTW. I only mentioned her as one facing probable Elke Clijsters style pressure. Whatever Evie did as a junior vs. Juju or Jeca, where are they all now? I see Evie's name in a draw and think (sadly) of that Freedy Johnston song. Olivia will rule Ozzie W tennis in the near future. ;)

Daniella Dominikovic vs Olivia Luckasewicz head to head: 2-1
1st meeting: Dani 6-2 6-0
2nd meeting: DANI 6-0 6-2
3RD MEETING (the one i watched) Olivia won 1-6 6-4 6-4

IMO Daniella has way more ability to smack the winners off the ground....Olivia is better right now, but in the long haul i think Daniella will make progress too. They both just started juniors (ITF) this year so please dont draw conclusions so soon.

I read rd8's post before it was deleted (BTW I wasnt offended as it wasnt overly offensive, I just dont see what business a negative post has in a player forum)....anyway, Evie was a very good junior but as is often the case took a while to find her feet on the main tour.

Anyway, she has spent some time in the top 100 and is climbing back up there again....in most peoples eyes if you crack the top 100 you've done well...

Player forums are usually meant for fans of said player. I appreciate your opinion, but we usually dont go into a player forum disrespecting the player (and fans).

ok so derogatory and disprespectful ;)..still it has no business in a specifically "player forum"

evie rocks!

I won't employ the childish (IMO) technique of posting verbatim a dictionary quote, but (you can verify this if you wish) "open exchange of ideas" seems 2B in the definitions in the major online ones for the word "forum". Of course that's quite different than "place for the expression of support for..." would be. In fact, TS, your girl Iva probably could tell all of us "Westerners" the difference from her own and her family's experience.

'rd' your opinion is fine and i have no problem with it, but it seemed like you were taking a few too many stabs at the aussie players and brang in some negativity.

I'm sorry it seemed that way, SM. But I DID almost describe Olivia as a "savior"; I honestly think she'll be a big name player if healthy.

Well right now Aussie women's tennis is not too bad. Evie and Alicia belong inthe top 100 and are nearly there, Nicole Pratt is top 50, and we got back in to the elite world group after a great performance esp. by Molik at Fed Cup.

As for Olivia being a "saviour", i have seen her play a few matches and saw a bit of her training session with Evie at Fed Cup. I don't really see her doing anything much better than Nicole, Alicia and co. are doing but it may be too early to tell. It would be great if Olivia could get in to the top 100 along with Alicia, Nicole, and Evie. :)

im sure in about 5 years we'll have a bigger presence in the WTAtop 100 but havent really noticed a player who will stand out against the rest...

Olivia certainly stands out from all other juniors there is no question....she just turned 14 a couple months ago, and is beating up on girls a lot older than her. She has a very good future ahead of her, just how good we'll have to wait and see ;)

rd...no probs. But maybe 'forum' is the wrong word then :p ;)
