Last year she did not play any tournamen on grass.
I think that she would do better on grass than on clay this year :oh:

La AAT habia solicitado WC para Dulko y Ormaechea (singles) y Molinero-Irigoyen (dobles) para los JJOO, pero finalmente no se los dieron, solo le aceptaron el WC de dobles de para Nalbandian-Schwank......

Gise won't be playing singles - only doubles. The mixed doubles draw will be decided with the eligible players at the Olympic Games, so we will officially know if she will play with Del Potro some days before the Olympics start.

Well, a TOTALLY disappointing result. They were doing REALLY well in that first set, then they completely lost their focus in the 2nd, and in the 3rd they were SOOO close of making it to 5-5. But oh well, better luck at the Olympic Games I guess.

Dulko analizará su futuro luego del US Open

LONDRES -- La argentina Gisela Dulko anunció en Londres que se plantará su futuro profesional después del Abierto de Estados Unidos, donde participará en el cuadro de dobles femenino junto con la italiana Flavia Pennetta.

La tenista sudamericana, ex Nº 1 de América Latina, adelantó que disputará los torneos de Montreal y Cincinnati y después el último Grand Slam del año, en Nueva York.

"Viajo a Montreal, Cincinnati y al Abierto de Estados Unidos y jugaré dobles con Flavia", apuntó Dulko, de Tigre, del conurbano bonaerense, ex líder del ránking mundial de dobles de la WTA.

"Después me plantearé el futuro. Voy a jugar sólo en dobles porque al individual no entro en los torneos porque perdí el ránking", recordó.

"No estoy cansada del circuito porque amo el tenis y es mi pasión. Estoy cansada de los viajes y de tantas semanas afuera. La competencia, no", concluyó la esposa del futbolista de su país Fernando Gago, ex Boca y Roma, ahora en el Valencia español.

En los Juegos Olímpicos, la argentina participó con Paola Suárez, de 36 años, quien regresó al circuito para llegar a Londres y soñar con una medalla, pero perdieron en la primera rueda.

Dulko, eliminada con Juan Martín del Potro del torneo de dobles mixto de Londres 2012, reconoció el mérito y el esfuerzo de su compañero, que había caído antes ante el suizo Roger Federer después de cuatro horas de juego.

"Todos nos cansamos de haberle visto jugar con Federer. Mucho nervio en un partido impresionante de Juan Martín. Fue una lástima porque los dos merecieron ganar. Fue el mejor partido de tenis que vi en vivo", reconoció la tenista sudamericana.

Dulko apuntó que no fue capaz de decirle nada a Del Potro, hundido tras la derrota, antes de jugar el dobles mixto.

"No hay mucho que decir. Lo que le diga no le va a ayudar porque tiene una gran tristeza por haber perdido. Todos estamos orgullosos de cómo representó a Argentina", añadió la sudamericana, que agradeció que su compañero afrontara con entereza el partido del dobles mixto.

"Fue un gesto impresionante después de haber perdido una semifinal salir tan motivado en la cancha. Es un profesional increíble", subrayó Dulko.

"Me voy contenta de haber jugado con Del Potro y, por más que el resultado no se haya dado, hemos estado bien. Jugamos con dos grandes rivales. Me voy contenta", concluyó.
