got tight at the end , but a break helped her out of the misery in 2nd set
still loving your game on clay though, Kookie :D
keep it up, maybe against another Russian ;)

Not the best match.
Zakopalova was up 5-2 and then choked a bit.
Pavlyuchenkova played only one good game, 2-5 down in the 2nd set.
She thinks too much on court,
her 2nd serve is bad as ever,
she moves a bit better but not fast enough,
2 of 3 forehands down the line are out.
Pavl. has to train a lot.
She needs a good/ better trainer, imo. I can only repeat myself.

Very good tournament by Nastya at least by her recent standards. 160 ranking points and back to back wins for the 1st time this year. Okay, it was kind of inevitable she would lose as soon as she played someone of a top 50 or better calibre but still. At one point this year it looked like Pavlyuchenkova was likely to plumet out of the top 100 before the end of the year given her form. That no longer looks to be the case and although she is still odds on to drop out of the top 50, I wouldn't say even that is a certainty.
Well done to Kookie for reaching the 4th round of a Grand Slam for only the 2nd time. Nice to have her there. :yeah:

No offense, but that headline's a trainwreck.
