Seems more mature then last year! :D :bounce: Go far, you're good when playing attacking tennis! ^^

"I have the game to come back. I don't have a lot of time to go up this year but by the end of 2012, maybe Top 10 or Top 20. [...]

"I want to win some tournaments. And why not a Grand Slam? I have many years left to play. My body is in good shape. I'm only 28. Now it is the experienced players winning Grand Slams.

Surely, Virginie  She should first learn how to defeat players like Rus :oh: Good tournament for her, though, although she should be more humble.
Arantxa :yeah: She played an excellent tennis :) Totally deserved win for her.
I just love WTA :sobbing: Rus defeats Razzano, who defeats Serena, who defeats everybody, who defeat Rus :oh:

I love you Arantxa! :worship: Played beautifully controlled aggressive tennis in the first set, got a little passive in the second to fall back 3-5, but then started hitting out again. Third round points defended! :woohoo: Looking as gorgeous as ever as well, man she is just so hot! :hearts::drool:

Ruseless. :cheer:

She's definitely better than she was last year. Nice mix of offense and defense, and solid serving. Her extreme grips will probably means she'll always struggle on faster surfaces, but I was genuinely surprised with how well she stayed it the high-paced rallies whenever Razzano started to contest them.

Lots of really poor mid-court misses from Razzano though.

Mlle Rus, what is there not to like about this girl?
- she is quiet
- she doesn`t fistpump
- she doesn`t push
- she looks absolutely gorgeous
- she hits more winners than unforced errors ie. not a (mindless) ballbasher
...And she smiles when she realizes that you only serve once when you start a
tiebreaker.

should be a fine role model for all the young girls just learning the game.
This was a very enjoyable match indeed.

Ntosake
May 31st, 2012, 07:30 PM
Yeah this must be disappointing for Razzano, but it sometimes happens to players who take out a big scalp and then flop the next match for whatever reason. Too bad. She was on an inspirational run.

Vikapower
May 31st, 2012, 07:30 PM
The state in which Razzano ended the match really expected a result such as this. Though they intelligently programmed her last to get some more recuperation time -- but didn't seem enough after such and emotionally and physically draining match, well, it was still a good win the day before and it's all that counts. Hope she takes confidence from that to come back up.

French crowd getting bs again, rooting on Chatrier late AM...Razzano never a french favorite
And complaining for bad finales since 2001...
Every "favorite" needs a french opponent last match on big courts..that's not tennis that's circus.
Razzano or Rus,they don't care..

JamieMU30
May 31st, 2012, 07:41 PM
NID result....Everyone with any brain knew Rus would win...Rus was able to close out a tiebreak against Razzano, yet Serena wasn't? Diabolical....Not surprised Razzano lost considering she should have lost the last round if it wasn't for the extreme mental collapse of Serena...Rus seems to get some real luck at the French Open...She benefitted from a mental collapse by Clijsters last year and got lucky with another mental collapse by Serena this year...LOL...I am going to start paying closer attention the part of the draw at slams where Rus is located...It might spell out who exactly will have a huge mental collapse next...Rus is using her sexy voodoo at the French to progress in the draw and I applaud her effort

I HIGHLY doubt she follows the tournament closely after she has lost. You have to be stupid to think she really intently follows the tournament just for shits and giggles. She probably wants to get away from tennis, which is all the more surprising that she's still playing mixed.

I did not see this match but I’m surprised by the outcome. Of course no one, least of all Razzano herself expected her to take the title. Still when you defeat an opponent of Serena’s caliber, one would think the adrenaline would be so high that the next opponent like Rus would have been easy pickings. However I suppose having beaten Serena and thereby by definition having succeeded in the tournament wildly beyond one’s expectations, one may not be hungry for more triumphs.
