Vera was up a break for virtually all of the first set, then imploded. :help:

Well done to Claire, who at 26 years old, wins for the first time in the main draw of a slam! It took her a few match points, including blowing a *40-0 lead in the final game, but she eventually came through with the win.

Claire plays Nina Bratchikova in the second round, a glamour tie if I ever did see one! :) Aga/Venus eat your heart out!

This has to be one of the weakest player ever to reach R2 in a slam :hysteric:

:cheer: Go Claire, Bratchikova is beatable.

Claire :) Don't see what the big deal is, she's an aggressive player in good form based on her recent ITF results.

I could have imagined everything in my life. Everything! But I would have never imagined that Feuerstein could reach the second round of a Grand Slam.
Congrats... I guess...

Some of the comments are so STUPID. Most of you know absolutely nothing about Feuerstein and you talk about her like she is Brie Whitehead. She is no Serena, but she is at her best ranking and could well crack the top 100 this year... I actually dont think she is worse than a good 20% of the top 100.
OMG a player like Feuerstein in R2 of a Slam!!

Well, it's shocking  Considering how much she has struggled into ITF tournaments, you cannot say this was never in doubt honestly :p
We will see how she will act against Bratchikova.
