View Full Version : Misa has to undergo knee surgery

May 14th, 2012, 06:36 PM
Today has been one of the worst days in my tennis career for me... I went to the doctor and got told i will need to under go surgery on my right knee (my cartlidge is badly worn down). Its in such bad state that it hurts when i walk or even just lie on bed, that i dont even have an option of taking pain killers, cortisone injections or other momentarily pain medicine that could ease the pain until Roland Garros or Wimbledon..
As you can imagine im totally devastated at this moment and dont know what else to tell you guys.. If you have any words of encouragement i could really use some right now.. :(((((
:hysteric: :hysteric: :hysteric: :hysteric:

Feel so so bad for her, this means the Olympics are definitely out of sight :sobbing:

I guess she will miss Roland Garros then and Wimbledon too....

Thank you all for the kinds words!!! I do, want to point out that the operation will take place this week and that its NOT a heavy one... So i know its pretty difficult for me to say when my first tournament will be again but i do, want you guys to know that if there will be a slight chance (without any risk ofcourse!!!) for me to play Roland Garros, Birmingham, Rosmalen or Wimbledon i ll be there!!! But for now i ll take it day by day...
Happy she is positive, as well as the fact that she will be undergoing the surgery soon. :) So Wimbledon is not fully out of the question but still will be tough.

Still sucks though.

In any case she'll be missing IdS, and I was hoping to see her there....

Just let's hope for a speedy recovery and she returns to the courts soon.

Misa has said that she is considering asking for a wildcard for the olympics. Also she hopes to make her return on tour in Rosmalen. So it may not be that bad after all. :D She is getting the surgery this Thursday or Friday. RG is out of the question but may still play Wimbledon :cheer:

Let's all hope for the best! :)

Just one week and she heals already? Hope it is not too risky for her to play in RG

Wow. Totally unexpected. Let's hope it's a good decision. Probably will be a bit rusty, no?
