Jackie Kennedy once said "He told me of a tape that the FBI had of Martin Luther King when he was here for the freedom march. And he said this with no bitterness or anything, how he was calling up all these girls and arranging for a party of men and women, I mean, sort of an orgy in the hotel, and everything," she said."

Let it never be forgotten that Dr. King was in Memphis to support striking sanitation workers (then called garbagemen, and paid like garbage, where the full-timers still qualified for Food Stamps. That his next project (planned for the summer) was 2B the Poor People's March. And that despite LBJ's undeniably historic civil rights legislation, Dr. King strongly opposed his quagmire in Vietnam. If he were around today, he'd have spoken to numerous Occupy groups, and led efforts to prevent and end wars like in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the possible one with Iran.
One of my idols along with Mandela. Thank goodness for the technology that allowed me to actually hear his speeches as they give me goose bumps every single time I hear them.:hearts: He was a blessed gift to the USA, too bad so many are still too ignorant to recognize it.
