expected. Probably not the worst movie ever made, but according to the budget, one of the worst. Actually all his recent movies are crap. She needs to restart his career or just retire.

It's a shame, because he did star in one of my favourite films, The Wedding Singer. I normally hate romantic comedies but that movie is warm hearted, funny, nostalgic, a great movie.

Happy Gilmore, in the area of dumb, fun comedy, is also funny and likable.

He also showed he can act in Punch Drunk Love.

Since then it's been a steep decline into unfunny rubbish.

I never saw it but from all the previews it looked terrible so I'm not surprised.

It was dumb, but it had its moments. Totally watchable. Katie Holmes should have gotten the supporting actress Razzie over David Spade. Is she retarded or something?

Adam has had some results in the past, but it's a faster, more athletic industry now than when he played. He is old now. His time has passed.

Aww poor Adam. I loved him in Spanglish, P.D. Love, and the Wedding Singer. He should do more films like those. He's a very capable actor. :)

You should watch The Truman Show and I Love You Philip Morris. He's fantastic in those two as well.

Id offer up Punch drunk love as evidence he is capable of more than that.

But it's The Wedding Singer which makes me more forgiving of the dross he has put out more recently. Most romantic comedies these days are hideous, but that film is perfect.

Also I'd say there are plenty of acclaimed actors who have a narrow range, plenty of serious actors who can't do comedy for example.

Comic actors are underrated as a rule. I think it's at least as hard to be funny as to put in a serious performance.
