Does she want to get revenge for the 1999 Wimbledon QF by taking Alexandra down as the queen of retirements? :shrug:

Couldn't she take a long leave and work on her health like the Williamses.
Why doesnt she learn?

Don't say that!

I hope for her fans Jelena has time to recover and comes back and has a few years of glory on the Tour. It is too sad for a talented player to end their career with an injury. After everything I have read about Jelena she deserves more.

Agree with first sentence.

Maybe Jelena just wants to keep playing in the hope her form returns? It is probably all very well intentioned. But I agree, Jelena shouldn't panic, should stop playing for a while and come back healthy and ready.

Looks at all the fucks she gave.

Not the first time Jelena has had to retire so quickly into matches. I hope she's okay, but I fear the end is coming for her! :(

Still, I'm glad that Galina has some points in the bag now that her free spell is more or less over - it's time to defend, and she's had such a good year. Still think she can get even higher, so here's hoping for a strong showing here! :)

:sad: I fear this has been the culprit all year.

We should have suspected something was up when she'd hit slices instead of driving her backhand in Australia.

JD :sad::hug:

She said a while ago that she wanted to keep playing for another few years. I don't know if her body is going to let her...

Galina :woohoo: Good opportunity for points this week.

Some of these women's players just cannot stay in one piece. Jelena is never, ever, healthy for any type of stretch.
