Opposite. Show is struggling in the ratings for CBS standards. It was renewed because of its critical acclaim and it needs one more season for syndication.

It should be moved to Fridays and paired with Blue Bloods. It would do well, for CBS standards, on Fridays, and it could last for a number of seasons. Fingers crossed!

Blue Bloods is doing excellent - for a Friday show. It was renewed already, too.

TGW wasn't hanging on to NCIS: LA's ratings enough so CBS moved it to see if they could get a new show in there that would hold on to it. Unforgettable has been WORSE than the TGW. If TGW goes to Fridays at 9 before Blue Bloods, we will have TGW for years. PLEASE CBS MAKE IT HAPPEN. We'll find out Mid-May.

Are you sure? Fridays are usually a death sentence. It's like the last move before cancellation for most shows!

I wish they gave Kalinda more air time! She's getting a bit more as of late but at the start of this season she was barely in it.

For a show like The Good Wife, similar to Blue Bloods, it skew very old but has a small but solid key demographic. Obviously, on a Friday, you have lower expectations. That way, it can continue to air on CBS with low ratings and continue to give CBS the critical acclaim and awards.

Unfortunately, the ratings of the show may have impacted this decision. It would have been great but this might be The Good Wife's final season so to do something so drastic with possibly not enough time to mend all wounds would not have made the most sense. :o

One minor nitpick - has there always been another Cary who was basically their number 3, or did he just appear out of nowhere? It's entirely possible that he has been around the entire time as a prominent number 3 and I only just noticed now due to paying attention to awesome people.

Crazy Canuck
Oct 28th, 2013, 03:54 AM
Between giving important information to Kalinda and nearly costing them Chum Hum, this wasn't Original Cary's finest hour. Maybe he'll be awesome next week (but nobody will notice, because Diane and Alicia will be on screen, having tea and being great).

Cary 2 popped up for the first time in episode 1 of this season. That guy was the lead guy on "Outsourced," which was not notable except for that guy being good-looking.

Wow. That was the most amazing hour of television in a long time. So good. I was shaking at times. Alicia kicked ass :inlove:

Don't like how Kalinda evolved though. She's basically been a bitch hidding and betraying people left and right for the last 3 months. Made her decision at the last minute. At least it's the promess of interesting things to come.

Crazy Canuck
Oct 28th, 2013, 02:51 PM
I think Kalinda felt betrayed by Alicia, because neither Alicia nor Cary told her about Alicia leaving ... or something. Also, her and Will apparently have some super strong work bond that they have only ever hinted at and never really bothered to show us. In other words, they could probably write Kalinda better than they do, but at least they got rid of her stupid ex husband story line. Progress!

Watching old episodes can be interesting sometimes. I had completely forgotten that Diane planned to leave the firm and start a new firm with David Lee in season 2. And she asked Eli to come with and to shut up about it for a few weeks.

And now she has the nerves to blame Cory and Alicia for doing the same thing :oh:

Kalinda needs more of a storyline plus I need more Robin, she's been a great addition.

Apparently, Josh has wanted to leave for a while. All in all, this is a great farewell and actually a great plot twist.

WTF? The only time something ever shocked me more was the red wedding from GoT. OMG I can't imagine the show without Will though.......I think its not going to be that good. I want to see Alicia's reaction. It's going to suck, she's never going to have that closure with Will!! I HATE THIS SHOW!!!! AND YET ITS KINDA BRILLIANT!
