Ana qualified for and won $10K Antalya the week of Feb. 27, then got SE's and won $10K Antalya the weeks of March 5, 12 and 19 :bounce:

Ana's 22 years old. She reached a CH ranking of 273 in 2009, when she was 19, then stopped playing due to lack of money.

It looks like she has found a sponsor--and it definitely looks like she had been training!

That's so sad but I guess that happens a lot in the challenger circuit.

It happens more than you can imagine. So much young and talented players give up on tennis because their families don't have money....

Nice to see such determination :yeah: And if she says she envies Azarenka's ROS, she really knows what's this all about. Also, it seems she does have a very good serve if she wound't trade it for anyone's.

That seems strange looking at her 2009 scheduling: europe-asia-europe-north america-europe.
You'd think she'd just stay in europe and get around with ryanair sleeping in hostels

My old coach was a professional tennis player (CH singles apporz 600 Career high Doubles approx 200) and she said that ehr biggest regret was that she didnt live in europe. She was born here but her parents were born in spain and she said if she had her time again she would live there. We only have 25ks here but she said when she went to spain she could play 10 tourneys in a row in europe on less than 3000 euros. Thats staying in cheap hotels/good hostels and catching buses, trains and the very occasional flight. You can just take trains around europe now. No need for cheap ryanair flights

I have no idea why savic went to all the continents, there are enough tournaments in europe for her to go ahead in her ranking. She just blew away her money there

I think and hope she has plenty of time left to have all possibilities for decent career.
Wonder where she will play next, hopefully some higher level challengers.

europe has the toughest itf fields though, so maybe that's why she couldn't stay there for too long? I have no idea how she did abck then btw, just speculating..
