Isn't it a bit ridicolous that green campaigns promote 'the planet's preservation'?

I just find it so hilarious and sissy honestly, the planet would recover in a matter of centuries after the human race extincted. So I mean, why don't they advertise it all as the human race's preservation, and not 'taking care of mother nature' with the typical image of a little girl hugging a polar bear or something similar? :lol:
