Julia Lipnitskaia of Russia win the gold at the 2012 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

Lipnitskaia once again impressed the audience with her consistent and difficult jumping technique, wonderful spins and musicality in her free skate program to the Romeo and Juliet by Nino Rota. Her precision of movement and her flexibility really stand out and the people on the stands gave her a standing ovation at the end of her outstanding program. The young skater from Ekaterinburg, who now lives in Moscow improved her seasonís best with a score of 123.96 points and totaled 187.05 points. This result is a new record of the junior figure skating.

American Gracie Gold took the silver medal with a very nice and confident free skate program earning 171.85 overall. Last yearís Junior Champion Russiaís Adelina Sotnikova finished third with 168.45 points.

Julia is such a lovely skater! Fun fact: She has a chance to break Tara Lipinski's record of youngest-ever female Olympic champion figure skater at the Sochi Games! :cheer:
