Today''s the day. After months of planning, arranging and voting, The 2012 BRIT Awards with MasterCard is finally ready to take place at The O2 in London.

All of today, (21st February) we'll be bringing you backstage gossip from The BRITs as we snoop around the dressing rooms and inside the arena before taking to the Red Carpet for some exclusive interviews.

We'll be joined on the Red Carpet by our BRITs.co.uk backstage host, Phil Clifton and speaking to all the stars as they arrive for this year's show. Expect some exclusive interviews with some of the world's biggest music stars!

Then, once the show has begun we'll be tweeting all the action from inside the O2 as it happens. Meaning you can keep up with all the onstage action - from a backstage point of view, of course.

Now lets get this show on the road!

I'd love for Laura to win it again, but it's very unlikely.

Watching the Red Carpet show now. Is it live? It looks as if they are in broad daylight!?

I just hope Florence and the Machine gets something :sobbing:

Or at least I hope she´ll give a killer "adele has nothing on me" performance (like always) :)

Go FATM!! :cheer:

OMG Adele absolutely sucked. That operation has messed up her voice. She sounded like she could barely breathe.

Ed Sheeran has been the only good performance so far (and most likely will be the only good performance of the night).

I don't wanna see Bruno Mars ripping off Janelle Monae in a performance again!

And who won awards, fill us non-Brits in:p

She did Rolling in the Deep? That was before Someone Like You which she did last year.

Her voice sounds like this IMO, which was pre-surgery. I don't know what is going on with her voice, but I do think it sounds just like right before she got the surgery. Maybe it is rusty and a few months will loosen up.

The Bey stans have been after Adele's voice since before the surgery. IMO She sounds better than Bey ever has. ;)

Yeah! I thought she sounded a bit off :scared:

She sounded off, but she had surgery. I doubt it'll ever come to that tone at that level again - she'll have to rethink production of her songs to suit the changes. To me, it sounds coarser and weaker now.

who won the awards?!

So Disrespectful

Adele lost the weight of tone to her voice. What a shame, that was her main selling point.

I loved Bruno's performance though and he was looking fiiine. I hope he puts out some real music on his second album.

I thought it was a crap show, really dull.

One Direction winning an award says it all really
