Feb 21st, 2012, 10:17 AM
Tatjana has been steadily rising and hopefully she can make top 200 Juniors. She one her opening round at SEB Tallink Open III and at SEB Tallink Open VI has won her first round of qualifying. She a good chance to qualify and lets hope she can get a ranking!! Go Tatja!!! :cheer:

Feb 21st, 2012, 10:19 AM
Did any of the Estonians go to SEB Tallink Open V or plan to go to VI?

Feb 22nd, 2012, 11:51 AM

Tatja came so close to winning :(
Did se have any match points

According to tennis.ee she was leading 4:1 and also 5:3 in the third set, then had 6:3 lead in the tiebreak :hysteric: A tough loss.

Feb 23rd, 2012, 07:00 AM
No my god!!!!!!!!! What a Na-Choke. I cant believe she lost!!!
So disappointing. After surviving the second set. Still, theres always next time. This shows how good eva is though. She has good potential to be top 800 by the end of the year :)

Mar 4th, 2012, 05:21 AM
Tatjana is 8 seed at ITF4 U18 Empire Cup G4, Slovakia.
Hopefully she can replicate her results at Safina Cup :)

Mar 11th, 2012, 10:51 AM
Tatjas tournament starts tomorrow. She is 8th seed. For some reason the draw hasnt been released yet but good luck Tatja :)

Mar 13th, 2012, 05:03 AM
Tatja has to play unseededed player marketa slavickova
She is 7 seed and soesnt have a horrible draw (except 2nd seed in quarters)
If she doesnt want erika to overtake her, she has to get some points here as erika is playing probably the easiest G4 ever
Anyway good luck tatja!!!! :) :cheer:

Mar 14th, 2012, 06:06 AM
1st round:
Marketa SLAVICKOVA (CZE) 6-4 6-2 Tatjana VOROBJOVA (EST) [7]

Not good at all :(

Mar 14th, 2012, 07:56 AM
1st round:
Marketa SLAVICKOVA (CZE) 6-4 6-2 Tatjana VOROBJOVA (EST) [7]

Not good at all :(

After winning estonian championships, ureo championships dubs and finalist at aotk twiga, i thought she could be great as she had good variety. Its now obvious erika is better than her. I thought it was just a fluke that Erika smashed her at Alexela

Mar 21st, 2012, 07:01 AM
She is entered in plovdiv cup bulgaria and is 5 seed for qualies. hopefully she can get some sort of form for the clayvourt season. clays the only surface she can seem to play on

Apr 8th, 2012, 07:28 AM
I have noticed that Tatjana Vorobjova and Belinda Bencic look like they could be twin sisters or sth:

Apr 8th, 2012, 11:13 AM
I never realised before!!!! Its scary!!

Apr 19th, 2012, 07:18 AM
Tatja defeated Muge Topsel of Turkey 61 62
Given her current form, this is surprising. She is obviously a clay freak

She is playing dubs with Eva and they are 4th seeds

Apr 20th, 2012, 12:25 PM
Austrians must love playing estonians, as sadly Tatja lost to a different austrian to eva, 61 76(4)
Guven how she blew match points in tallinn, i wouldnt be surprised if she blew set points here

Anyway, She and Eva beat bulgarian wildcards 62 06  10-7
I cant believe they got bagelled against some random wildcards
And I cant believe they then won the match tiebreak after getting bagelled

Apr 21st, 2012, 12:54 AM
Sadly, Tatja and Eva lost 3 and 4. Not surprising given their first round result

May 18th, 2012, 02:49 PM
Tatja is playing next week at a G4 in Hungary, followed by Estonian Open
She is 8th seed for Hungary and 7th for Estonian Junior Open

May 18th, 2012, 08:34 PM
Silver Karjus is helping Tatjana. Not as a coach, just giving her some advice and help her a bit.

Silver Karjus is helping Tatjana. Not as a coach, just giving her some advice and help her a bit.

Thats nice :)

Tatja entered into G4 Gydnia Cup with Erika
Hopefully they play dubs together
Erika is now only 22 places away from Tatja in the rankings so she'll have to play well thsi week to keep her lead cause Erika has nearly no points to defend from this year whereas as Tatja has many :)

May 21st, 2012, 09:27 PM
Tatja is playing in G4 Hungary this week and first round she plays Knutson, a girl born in America but plays for the czech republic who is a qualifier and Tatja beat her at Safina cup :)
No big seeds except the 3rd in the quarters so good luck Tatja :)

May 24th, 2012, 10:21 AM
Beat Knutson 3 and 2. Good luck next round :)

May 24th, 2012, 02:24 PM
Tatja lost 1 and 1 to some random Hungarian
Although, they forfeited from doubles. I don't know who's injured because her partner Reichel also lost convincingly first round. I want and don't want it to be her at the same time. :sobbing:

Jun 2nd, 2012, 11:03 AM
Tatja made the final of G4 Estonian Open :cheer: which is great given her form but once again choked away what was her title
But she now has a 3rd doubles title after her and Mia's Lithuanian opponents pulled out :)

She now has 3 doubles titles and 3 singles finals
She mustn't choke in doubles
She is so inconsistent

Jun 13th, 2012, 07:01 AM
Tatja at Career High of 292 :cheer:
She is soooo inconsistent
She is 5th seed for AOTK TwigaCup G4 at Tondiraba :)

Jun 19th, 2012, 06:55 PM
1st round in Riga:

Jun 20th, 2012, 08:34 AM
Nice win :)

Tatja also won her second round 6-3 6-1 :)
Next she has an unseeded player in Anastasia Pribylova but this girl did beat the second seed
Hopefully a semi against Madara and then a final :D
BTW, she is also playing doubles with Eva. They are second seeds and got a BYE in R1 but now they face two Russians who won their first round 0 and 1 :scared:
I hope Tatja can use her doubles prowess to carry Eva through :)

Jun 20th, 2012, 07:20 PM
They won in doubles as well:
Eva PAALMA (EST) / Tatjana VOROBJOVA (EST) [2] 6-1 6-2 Galina BYKOVA (RUS) / Margarita KHASANOVA (RUS)
Through to semis now, nice!

Jun 22nd, 2012, 09:35 AM
Eva and Tatja won 6-3 3-6 10-7 to reach the final :cheer:
There they will play Number 1 seeds Stadler and Grim m from Switzerland
Come on Girls :cheer:
If Tatja wins this, she would be holding 5 doubles titles
Perhaps she could be a doubles player???

Aug 22nd, 2012, 12:00 PM
Time to update Tatja's thread :)
There was originally some bad news as Tatja fell yet again to Erika Hendsel at the Estonian Open in the QFs, failing to defend her title :( She did so in doubles and mixed though :)

She then went on to make the final of the 16U event losing to Erika again 6-3 6-2, but managed to win the Doubles with Erika and win the mixed :)

She then had a great result in the 18s, sweeping the events :) After Erika pulled out before their SF, Tatja went on to beat Eva in the final 6-4 7-4, and collecting the Doubles Titles with Markus Kerner and Lisanna Pihlak. She now holds every single national Doubles and Mixed Doubles Title she can :D

She is playing some G5s in Latvia and Lithuania, so hopefully she can get her ranking up again :)

Aug 27th, 2012, 11:50 AM
The draw is out for G5 Education Cup (Jurmala, Latvia) and Tatja is 2nd seed behind Justina Mikulskyte :)
Her draw is quite good (R1 she has a girl who has only ever win 1 match at G4 level, R2 she has either an unranked Latvian or a Russian girl outside the Top 1000 and in the QF the highest ranked player is a Belarussian in the 700s :))
If she can continue her good form from Estonian Junior Champinoships, she might actually win her first Singles Title (she should make the final atleast, with an out of form Cepelyte being the only one in her way, although Cepelyte did beat her in the final of The AOTK TwigaCup last uear :()
I expect her to win the Doubles Title :D

Aug 28th, 2012, 08:40 PM
Tatja won her 1st Round 6-2 6-0 in Singles and her 1st Round in Doubles 6-0 6-2 :D
She seems to be playing really well :D

Also Vakeria Gorlats beat the 7th Seed 6-4 6-3 and now she plays someone beatable :cheer:

Aug 29th, 2012, 09:10 PM
Tatjana won her second round against Ponomareva 6-2 6-3 :cheer:
She also won her doubles against Gordeeva/Niahrei 6-1 6-3

And on another good note, Valeria Gorlats progressed with a 6-2 6-4 win over Vostrikova :bounce:

Keep it up girls :D

Aug 30th, 2012, 08:46 PM
Tatjana won her singles 6-3 6-3 to put her through to the Semis :)
There she will face Agne Cepelyte, a difficult opponent :)
In doubles they lost 4-6 6-4 10-4 to the 4th Seeds :(

Sadly Valeria got done in 0 and 1 by Mikulskyte :tape: I hope Tatja can somehow beat her and win her first title :)

Sep 1st, 2012, 07:34 AM
Tatjana VOROBJOVA (EST) [2] 6-0 7-5 Agne CEPELYTE (LTU) [4]

Will face Justina MIKULSKYTE (LTU) [1] in the final. Good luck!

Sep 1st, 2012, 11:13 AM
YAY :cheer:
She seems to be finally living up to her potential :)
Mikulskyte only just got past her opponent, so hopefully Tatja can get rid of that 0-3 Singles Final record :)

Sep 1st, 2012, 12:42 PM
Tatja won 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4 :D :cheer: :rocker2: :yeah:  :haha: :spit:
So many reactions :D
I can't believe she did it :)
I mean, she has always choked against easy players in finals except in doubles but this time she won the singles and not the doubles :spit:
And in the final she beat one of her best ever opponents :bounce:
I really hope she can carry this great form into next week where she will be Top Seed, unless Mikulskyte takes another WC :cheer:
She is now back in the Top 300 :)
Since EMV she has been really great :)
As long as Erika stays away, she will win

Sep 1st, 2012, 07:55 PM
Well done Tatjana :cheer:

Estonian tennis players getting some good results lately :yeah:

Sep 6th, 2012, 11:23 AM
Tatja is back in the Top 300, going up to 295 after her title in Jurmala :cheer:
She also won her first round in Siauliai 6-2 6-3 against a LL :)
The girl she plays next won 0 and 0, but luckily it was against a really bad player :)
All the Estonians lost on Day 1 besides her in the Girls :help:, but in the Boys everyone won, including Kenneth :cheer:
In doubles she is 2nd Seeded with Elisa Mai Koonik :)
Hopefully Doubles Title Number 3 of the year :cheer:
She needs 22.75 to overtake Eva Paalma and become the 2nd ranked Estonian :)
I can't believe 2nd Round in Singles = Winning Doubles
Of she makes the final and does well in Doubles, that should do it :)

Sep 6th, 2012, 09:06 PM
Tatja is through to the QFs with a 7-5 7-6 win :)
These matches are awfully close though and unless she steps up I don't think she'll win the tournament :(
Kenneth is also through to the QFs

Sep 9th, 2012, 07:17 AM
What's happening there, rain? There are no further results on the ITF site since QFs..

IK :(
I looked at the weather an it has been cloudy and rainy so they obviously haven't made much progress. They'll have to play at least 2 matches today. This could be good for Tatja though as in her last two matches she was obviously feeling the effects of her win in Jurmala an this has given her some time to rest :)

Sep 10th, 2012, 11:07 AM
Sadafmoh TOLIBOVA (BLR) [2] 6-4 6-2 Tatjana VOROBJOVA (EST) [1]

Also Kenneth lost in QF, but the opponent was 3(!) years older, so nevertheless a very good result.

ITF site was not updated since Friday afternoon until today.

In Boys 3 years is a big difference :)
Thank god he finally started playing 18s though as everyone else his age has already started :)
Tatja had to play 5 matches so the fact that she lost one, and to a very good player at that (she almost beat Shymanovich), this is once again a successful tournament :)

Oct 15th, 2012, 09:49 AM
Tatja won another Doubles title, which is good considering her premature Singles exit. I feel so bad for her because her Singles is only at G4 level but now she holds 5, yes 5, Doubles titles
She's probably almost as good as Anett at Doubles :D
I hope she can pick up some wins in Finland, and then next year can start playing some higher level events :)
I am thinking that maybe she should have played Stockholm, but due to her low Estonian Ranking, she may not have gotten in while Erika and Eva did :(

Nov 13th, 2012, 07:19 PM
Messika Open 2012, Israel, G3
R1: Tatjana Vorobjova (EST) d. (8)Alexa Pirok (HUN) 75 75 :yeah:

Nov 14th, 2012, 03:57 AM
Tatja
And on Hard :D
I wonder if she will collect another Doubles title :oh:

Dec 12th, 2012, 10:41 AM
Tatja lost her next match and didn't have much success in Doubles :(
Also, her results on IH continue to disappoint as she lost again to Erika at Alexela Masters and lost R1 to some random at G4 Zagreb Open and lost again in Doubles Early :(

She is playing 2 Swedish G4s in a couple of weeks so hopefully some better results :)
I have been disappointed with Tatja's 2012 :(
Hasn't done much on Juniors and nothing on Pro Tour :(
Hope she can at least play a GA in early 2013 :)

Dec 13th, 2012, 02:50 AM
Tatjana has answered my prayers and is playing 10K St Petersburg  :worship:

Dec 22nd, 2012, 10:06 AM
Tatja's draw is out for St Petersburg 10K :)
First round she has a WC who hasn't played in ages and then she has Top Seed but not great player Vasilyeva :)
If it wasn't on Indoor Hard, I would pick her to qualify :D

Dec 23rd, 2012, 10:46 AM
If it wasn't on Indoor Hard, I would pick her to qualify :D

Itīs carpet, not hard (more like a artificial grass).

Anyway, she did lose the first match.

Itīs carpet, not hard (more like a artificial grass).

Anyway, she did lose the first match.

That would suit her even less
Anyway, she played 2 G4s in Sweden and did poorly as expected :( Lost to Blinkova which isn't a bad loss as she's undefeated in ITF Juniors Singles and has 3 titles :) The other loss was very ordinary though :(
She made another Doubles final :oh:

Losing Streak

Lady Gaga :spit: Tatjana has always appeared to be an anomaly to me :oh: Hopefully she can win a few matches :)
