Although Petra is my compatriot, I'm happy for Paula win. It was so tie match.....But Petra is great and when she has her serve, she can really do great things on the courts.

Congrats to Paula! Even closer to top 100. Really promising girl. =)

Huh was she even a promising junior? I have never heard of her until this year.

She has barely played in the junior circuit, I believe. She started to hit those South American ITF's really young.

Really disappointed about this result. Paula Ormaechea will have many more opportunities to reach additional quarterfinals in her career. But I fear that was probably the last opportunity Petra Rampre is going to get. Clearly she gave it her all against a very young and very talented opponent. To miss out in such a tight match is pretty sad. Ah well, when you give it your best you can have no regrets I guess.

exactly, one has to feel for Petra , after all those years and dedication showed , a QF would have been a really nice reward . But I still expected Paula to win, more easily to be honest .
congrats to both
