The bottom half in Doha has completely fallen apart. Hope she can beat Pironkova and take advantage :scared:

Marion :hearts: After a very tough last week in Paris, she destroyed AMG :worship:
I was waiting for a revenge against Kerber in the next round but apparently Angie was tired and lost

Another mess of draw, hopefully she can make it to the semis :)
She's gotta use the fighting spirit we saw last week

Pironkova's slice shouldnt trouble her too much here... I hope not at least. A quick match would be nice to help the recovery from last week.

6-3, 6-3 over pironkova

the draw has really opened up for her

safarova next and then either nicolescu or stosur

she has a really good shot of a 2nd straight final here

Going to be a bit difficult may be. However we know that with Marion everything is possible.
I predict a tough 3 setter and that the best will win.

She seemed very tired in the last set (no "allez" no shadow tennis for example ;)" but played very solid :worship:
If no burnout, she could beat Stosur.

Damn. Pity it had to be in such a winneable match. Pull out your next two tournaments please Marion.

Many Stosur fans overreacting to the signifigance of this 'win' I think :spit:

Not to worry, I think she was more exhausted then injured. She got the important win yesterday, today would have been a bonus.

Extremely tough draw next week, I dont mind if she rests until IW, Dubai/KL aren't going to do much good for her ranking.

Singleniacki
Feb 18th, 2012, 04:18 PM
She is likely to still be 7th after dropping her 700 points from IW final  (Vera has Doha W coming off next week)

Ferg

Even falling early in IWs, she would have a better chance in Miami to make up for those points, the courts suit her better and no Bepa in R4 this time. This result is great for maintaining her ranking indeed.

I'm sure she will pull out from Dubaï. She has nothing to earn there.

A fine last two weeks.

I was gutted for her in Paris, losing the final in front of her idol and the home crowd, but, including the final, she played two great matches that week. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I was impressed with the way she was defending and moving the ball around yesterday again Lucie in the last set, though today was one match too many.

Hopefully she pulls out of Dubai.

Marion has explained that she has 2 days off. So, she will make a final decision just before match vs Peng.

Last sentence in French 2 days ago :
"Blessée la semaine dernière, je n'ai eu que eux jours de récupération entre Doha et Dubaï et c'est trop peu. Hier la douleur s'est vite réveillée. J'ai fini le match pour ne pas abandonner deux fois de suite, mais maintenant il faut que je fasse un break, que je me repose et que je me soigne."
