Please Mel, retire two years and relaxing, you´re young. You must redifine your future in tennis.
Retirement right now is a good choice

She should really think about taking time out from singles and focus on doubles. Her latest singles results are horrible and hard to believe that she could improve fast.

Checked Mel's activity, she made to the final of a 75k tournament in November 2010 and since then she has never won 2 matches in a row :help: Didnt think it is that bad :help:

Someone said that when she played Robson, that she was playing from 10 feet behind the baseline, so her shots were barely making it past the service line.

I hated this girl at one stage but now I just feel so sorry for her. She is a better player than this. She probs needs to take a break and then come back fresh with a new team and new approch.

I actually thought last week's result against Foretz showed a bit of promise compared to recent performances. Foretz is a pretty decent indoor player and I think Oudin had a set-point in the first set. It was a competitive match and I thought she might have taken a bit of a confidence but losing 3 and 1 to Puchkova probably dissipated any positives from last week.

Puchkova is hardly a world beater but she is no part time player either. She played 28 events last year, and not just in the US either. She played Japan, Poland, Austria, Australia, Belarus and Hungary also. And she has gotten her ranking back in the top 200 for the 1st time in almost three years so obviously she is moving in the right direction. Heck, she is actually ranked higher than Oudin right now.

But then having having said all that, 3 and 1 is hardly a convincing scoreline against a player with a similar ranking. Oudin is in deep trouble, no question about that.

i feel sorry for Melanie.

She is a victim of her early success. Those TV idiots putting all those expectations and pressure on an immature teen with potential to be a solid Top 50 player at the most.

I wish Melanie did not slay all those Russians during USO 2009, she would probably have a good, steady Top 100 career now.
