She has a good game on HC, she might need to do something about her second serve. I think she might get to one or two more GS semifinals. Anything can happen at that stage then.

Well she sure is more likely to do so than Wozniacki is. Her defense isn't less better and she can actually hit winners.

I am a big fan or her since 2009, but winning a slam..... I am happy if she stays in the Top 20, wins a few tournaments and reaches GS-quarterfinals. :)

I like her tennis and she'll probably reach top 10 fairly soon if she continues this way. Much too soon to ask if she'll win a slam atm. I'd say no atm.

I think playing like she is and with the confidence she has at the moment im thinking she may be a dark horse for the US Open this year.

Who knows. She definitely has the game to get to at least 2 slam semis.

Would be cool. But I'd rather not make any such declaration. She's a good resourceful player and a pleasure to watch. Let's just see where it takes her. She obviously has quite a few good years of tennis ahead of her, providing she stays fit and motivated.

Out of all German players, she has game to win a Slam title but that's never going to happen, though.

She wishes she was able to beat Bartoli or at least be competitive with Sam. :p

Yeah, Serena still rules the Slams, go away, peasants!

interesting to see what will happen in the clay season.
as stated - HC seems to suit her best, so if she won't do well on the red stuff and loses confidence, she might not regain it

or...she does better then in the past and get's used to clay, and joins another 20-30 other women with a huge chance to win this years RG, which never before seemed so much as the largest MM in the world, sadly.

She's a better lefty than Makarova and Evert thinks Makarova will win Slams....:oh:

1 title in a weak field and now the slam question?!!!!!

this. shes just won her first ever title at the age of 24 and people already proclaming her a slam winner, like seriously  if she keeps improving, wins more titles, makes top10 then we can ask this question, but as of now no.

Angelique will win a bag of slams you will see
Shes 24 but shes improving and improving
I remember when she was USO semifinalist and you all said that it was "accidentially" and not because she was good. And what now? She won Paris, won sabine.

And most important, shes very ambitious but NOT arrogance (unlike many). Because of that she can improve even more.
Her gameplan is very wise, she hits winners but is more like counter puncher not constantly brainless shooting like sharapova, lisicki

Second serve definitely needs work, and still way too many mental walkabouts in middle of matches. The game is there, but the mental aspect is the bridge to the next level, and that is still quite a huge gap to close up at the moment. But if she continues to improve at this rate, who knows?

If she manages to win a slam with that miserable excuse for a serve ill be stunned.... just stunned. Her groundgame is actually quite good but jeez what an attackable serve she has.... it will always be getting her in trouble unless she beefs it up.

No, I made this mistake with Kaia Kanepi. No jumping onto bandwagon until we see consistency. Let's not forget Angelika only scored 3 games against Maria at the AO.

anyway, i hope she would go deep in the slams more often. Her semi run at last year USO is decent yet unexpected. so who knows?

She took Stosur to 3 in the US SF last year. Had she won that match, she would've faced an underdone Serena in the final.

So, she's come close once...

Well I doubt she'll get to a Semi once again. It's so much easier being the underdog and from now on she'll have to deal with the pressure of being the fave in many matches.

Anyway, she proved that her GS Semi wasn't a fluke, but I still think a GS is not within her reach. It's gonna be very interesting to see how she'll play on clay.

This is what I said on February 14th this year.

Would be cool. But I'd rather not make any such declaration. She's a good resourceful player and a pleasure to watch. Let's just see where it takes her. She obviously has quite a few good years of tennis ahead of her, providing she stays fit and motivated.

I will now revise that a bit...

Yes. She will.

I think so. Maybe not this year, but she definitely has a chance, especially at RG where the field is so wide open! After all, she's already made a deep run at a slam last year, so I don't expect her to crumble under pressure at a Slam. She's already beaten plenty of top players too. She's undoubtedly the best German player at the moment and the one who has the biggest chance of making it deep in Slams. I've been saying for quite a while that Kerber is the one to watch now!

StoneRose

It's possible but too early to tell. First see if she can maintain this level for some time. There's hope though she has a more allround game and is much better on defense than Julia and Sabine. If someone from this German generation is to win a slam my money would be on her (or maybe on Mona once i've seen her play more).

It's not about whether she will won or she won't, it's about how many:oh:
Seriously speaking, yeah, she should win a few if she's able to play like she's doing it these days.

LOL at this bandwagon. Kerber is playing very well but she still hasn't played the big guns on a regular basis for this to mean much. I want to see her against Azarenka, Kvitova, Williams and Sharapova again...
