Gajdosova had 3-1* up I think.

Jarmugla :wavey: Hasn't beaten a top 50 player this year

Good to see Cirstea win matches consistently.
Next round - AO R1 rematch against Stosur
make it twice in a row

She lost five games to Gajdosova. That qualifies as average these days.

Feb 14th, 2012, 02:42 PM
Cirstea was clearly a superior player. I hope she can continue this run. She faces Stosur again.

Poor Jarka needs to retreat to a tropical island for a while I think, she's only making herself miserable by turning up week after week to get beaten. That said, she's at least losing to some decent players these days. Sorana has definitely been in good form, so the rematch against Sam should be interesting. Tough one to call. In Sam's favour is the fact that she's away from Australia and probably playing on a surface that at least doesn't completely neutralize her weapons (although it may not help her much either). In Sori's favour is that she should be more used to the court, with Sam only having her doubles match tonight to get acclimatized, while Sori already has a doubles and a singles match under her belt. I hope Sam can pull this off, but I won't be surprised if Sori wins it.

Jarmila's ranking is heading south. Sorana's ranking is moving up north. Nothing in this result to suggest either of these things is likely to change anytime soon.

Good job Sori, she's definitively picked up herself and I like that, finally, great. :D

In terms of the order of my faves I mean. Well maybe Sori has chance to overtake Jarka, not Sabine really. Sabs is my girl
