Probably will result in a new career high ranking too, the current one being #162, also from 2000.
I wonder if both gaps could be tour records for active players, and by that I mean excluding players making a comeback after some years out.

Karen just doesn't have what it takes to get wins even in a $50K tournament, let alone a WTA. She is a pretty good doubles player, though.
