2012 projects thread

Hello all,

This is the 2012 projects thread to keep track of what we are doing individually and as a group.

What's cooking for now.


Newmark is working on maintaining and adding to the
Official Married Names Thread

Chaton has completed 1979 and is now working on 1978 (I will follow behind and see what I can add for 1979)

David K is back updating threads and continuing work on 1956

GeeTee is working on a comprehensive Australian Players A to Z thread. Louloubelle is now looking to pitch in-:)

Ugarte finished 1963 and is wokring on 1964

Rollo is working on:

Australian Open results (at rate of 1 per week)
Australian Open Players Guide (ditto) did 1923 on Feb 7

Indexing threads (at the rate of about 1 per day-5 per week)

Tournament thread needs updating (1 per week)


editing in 1963
adding to 1979 (I have the WTA media Guide for that year)
1929 (long term for later in year)
finishing off 1972 (doubles results from WT)
Suzanne Lenglen results (I need to complete this)

Possible Futures threads (much later)
Married Name Thread in Reverse (by married name-in essence a mirror of the current thread)

An Biographical Encyclopedia of Female Tennis Players (in the works-I'm over 200 + pages)

Anyone who wants to suggest or volunteer for projects is more than welcome! There are a lot of 10 year anniversary threads for those who want to celebrate 2002, 1992, 1982, etc.

Update:

Still editing 1963 and 1979.

1924 added to the Australian Players guide
Added in Rumanian Nationals to the tournament section.

And a shout out to Olympus for helping add a lot of names to our projects!:worship:
