Nina_rus Nov 14th, 2002, 05:48 AM Bohemian Rhapsody- Queen I like John Lennon's Imagine too schris Nov 14th, 2002, 05:53 AM Like A Prayer ;) disposablehero Nov 14th, 2002, 11:30 PM Oh dear. It appears a relatively ordinary Madonna song is about to become the greatest song of the past 50 years. DutchieGirl Nov 14th, 2002, 11:34 PM ooh god, that's a hard choice actually! I dunno which one to pick! DutchieGirl Nov 14th, 2002, 11:35 PM hmm ok... went with Bohemian Rhapsody Lola Nov 23rd, 2002, 12:02 PM Originally posted by disposablehero The one CHOCO posted last week. gracias! :) Layla Nov 23rd, 2002, 12:15 PM    Ok, I missed the pole obviously, but what the hell is going on?!? Madonna's Like a Prayer the best song of the last 50 years? LMAO! *insert hysterical laughter* This isn't even one her good songs. Where is Layla by the way? ;) disposablehero Nov 23rd, 2002, 11:54 PM Well, Layla, a board full of people who are primarily gay and primarily in their early 20's may not be a demographic relective of society as a whole. These are the songs which survived 2 rounds of elimination. Also, there is at least one person whom I suspect of voting in this contest under at least 2 usernames, and they did vote for "Like A Prayer". Hurley Nov 23rd, 2002, 11:58 PM In my opinion, the problem was that Madonna's best song faced off against some more respectable bands' weaker tracks. "Losing My Religion" was the only one I thought was at the cream of the artists' crop...the rest were probably their most popular but not their best. I would have voted for "Breed" or "Lithium" by Nirvana, but not SLTS. I would have voted for "Chain of Fools," but not "Respect." Anyway, I did vote for the Madonna. That single is beautifully done. Steam Nov 24th, 2002, 12:02 AM Ok, I'm obviously late but I would have voted for Under the Bridge since its my favorite song. And what the hell is Oasis doing on here? Oizo Nov 24th, 2002, 12:03 AM Aretha Franklin- "Respect" :D disposablehero Nov 24th, 2002, 01:19 AM Oasis is on there because they gained more votes in previous rounds than most of their competition.
