They're playing in Charleroi at 9 PM Belgian time! Too bad it isn't broadcasted live on TV!
Clijsters arrived at around noon at Schiphol, The Netherlands after a 10 hour flight. In the late afternoon she has to arrive in Charleroi to get ready for the match. I don't think she'll be very fit for it... ;)

Hey, it will be broadcoasted at 8.55pm on the RTBF 2, but I don't know if you get this channel everywhere in Belgium... I'll tell you about the score :)

Hey that's great! I didn't even know that! I just checked the Flemish sites, but I should've known that RTBF would broadcasted it. If you ask me, they're the best station in Belgium regarding tennis! :D

héhé, maybe, but I prefer the comments of Canvas, or, oeps, I don't remember which channel, but a flemish one:o

Nov 13th, 2002, 02:43 PM
Yeah, that's Canvas, but they don't broadcast as much tennis as RTBF, I think. ( don't know for sure). But regarding comments, I prefer Eurosport :D

Poor Justine, she's playing well, yet Kim is two levels above her atm. I guess the long flight didn't have any negative effects on her.

From sport.be

Kim still toned her play IMO,
she could have embarressed justine 6/0 6/3 or something.

Anyway, I'm glad they both had a good time on court

Me too! When you have a great name like Monami, they change it in Van Roost, that nobody else then Flemish people can pronounce. And now this

I think it will be just Justine Ardenne btw. The keep on saying DOminique Monami-Van Roost as well even though she was just Dominique Van Roost in the rankings and I think it will be the same for Justine.

I have only heard Justine say: "The biggest difference will be a longer name". I think she means officially, not in tennis. She's gotten fame with Henin, so why get rid of it?

Justine Henin
Justine Hardenne
Justine Hardenne-Henin
Justine Henin-Hardenne
Justine-Pierre-Yves Henin-Hardenne ;)

BTW: the match was OK. Justine played better than friday, but Kim was destructively acurate and speedy again. Well done, Kim!!! And have a good wedding Justine!!! And both a spectacular iseason in 2003!!! You can both do it.

I don't want to interupt but Juju didn't play at 100% maybe just at 50% She wasn't taking it serious.
It would have been different if it was a real match then I think she would have taken advantage of kim her tiredness

Belgium revels in Clijsters-Henin feel-good match
19 minutes ago
By Tom Miles

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Belgium rolled out the red carpet for its two favourite daughters on Wednesday as Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin entertained their fans in a good-natured exhibition match.

Reuters Photo

The in-form Clijsters, who won the WTA Tour Championships on Monday with victory over world number one Serena Williams (news - web sites), carried on from her recent success as she trounced the waif-like Henin for the second time in less than a week 6-1 6-4.

But the quality of tennis was not high on agenda on Wednesday.

French-speaking Henin, ranked fifth in the world, got into the party mood by accepting a prolonged kiss and a single red rose from her fiancé, Pierre-Yves Hardenne.

Flemish-speaking Clijsters also had her moment in the spotlight although her boyfriend, men's number one Lleyton Hewitt, was otherwise occupied in Shanghai for the Masters Cup.

Clijsters,19, was pleasantly surprised when a flurry of flowers was thrown her way. But the flowers were soon forgotten as the world number four focused her attention on another present -- a wrinkly shi-tzu puppy.

Despite the one-sided scoreline, Henin -- Wimbledon (news - web sites) runner-up in 2001 -- wowed the crowd with her bold and blistering passing shots during the first set.

But a missed smash in the fourth game allowed Clijsters to break and roar away with the first set.

With the match slipping away from her, Henin upped the tempo and dazzled her fans with a succession of outlandish shots.

Thoroughly enjoying the on-court exhibition, the crowd made their own contribution to the festivities by bursting into a spontaneous Mexican wave.

Henin joined in, but Clijsters simply shook her head and laughed. She was having fun but not enough to risk losing.

Clijsters is also likely to be the last player to ever beat Henin because on Sunday the 20-year-old will become Justine Hardenne when she marries her fiancé.

It's neat that Justine just let her hair down and even did the wave. she is always described as shy and reserved. Juju will have to find a way to deal with the newer, more consistent Kim.

The match was fun to watch. Incredible winners from Kim as from Justine  Kim played really powerfull AND consistent, and made Justine run from the left to the right...At 6-1 2-1 she started to make more errors (thinking: "Ok it's a exhibition"). But at that point, Justine really played awesome with some amazing shots... and deserved the 4-2 lead. Then Kim stepped up two gears and won quite easily... Both girls got a present before the match: Justine present: Pierre Yves ;) and Kim: a little pup (wrinkly shi-tzu )...

I was there last night and it was fun. It's ironic, just as Fleemke was telling me we should have done the Mexican wave and I said it was too late to do it (it was in the middle of the match after all), about 20 people on the other side started the Mexican wave.

I had to laugh when someone in the crowd shouted "komaan Kim, geeft er een lap op", Kim won the next point with a huge smash. She turned around and gave a thumbs up sign to the person who'd shouted.
