She is on Double draw but not single. Weird, maybe she just don't want to complete in the QD.

Best of luck in 2012, Nadia! :D;)

Weird she isnt play singles. GL in doubles though!

Cut-Off for Sydney main draw was extremely high, Last Direct Acceptance was #25 (Safarova). And at the moment Nadia is only ranked #29. Pretty sure she didn`t want to play Quali. I can understand her, but now AO will be her first singles match in 2012 - not exactly ideal. We must hope for easy opponents in R1 and R2, please not Zheng or Venus.

Good luck in doubles!!! :D

Nadia wanted to play qualies in Sydnet but forget to enter in QD ;)

She told today that was worried to play first match in singles at AO without any match before. When they arrived at Sydney and entered doubles draw with Kirilenko both were shocked that they are not in QD. As she explained she have not played in qualies long time and doesn't know that rules changed and need to enter not only main draw but QD as well

She is still without coach but with support of Cara's (Black) husband :tape:

Congrats Nadia. She needs to raise her game against Errani and since Stosur is gone she has a very good chance to reach the second week.

She's going to need to step it up from here on out though.

Crazy scoreline, but well done, Nadia! :bounce:

Errani the wall next. Everything depends on Nadia. She just has to move her feet and serve well.
Also be patient and play with controlled aggression, then Nadia should be fine.

Nadia lost 2-6 2-6 to Errani :banghead:

Break Points Won: 1 of 9 :help:

Very frustrating to be a fan of Nadia. So much talent, and no brain.

Nadia is a way better player than annoying Errani. And should have won. But too many stupid UEs of course. Nadia is so slow, her footwork/movement is horrible. Countless opportunities, many long games (1st set 50 mins, 2nd set 46 mins) and she lost them all. Simply very weak mentally, just really sad.

we should be used to it by now  Also in the photos I've seen from the match she seemed to have some kind of physical problems as she called for the trainer  unfortunately this has also become quite common in recent years for her. It's too bad as the few times she feels well and is motivated and plays her good game, she's one of the most interesting players to watch on tour

anyway,still alive in doubles :)
(5) Kirilenko/Petrova (RUS/RUS) d. Jans-Ignacik/U.Radwanska (POL/POL) 61 61

Yeah, in 2nd set Nadia took a medical time-out (problems with back). But it didn`t seem serious to me
