Pretty average match from both, but it's only the first match of season.
Well done Na :)

She did it! Many positives for na to take out of this match. Definetly not back to toplevel, but it's definetly well done from her to take this one.

She definetly knew which elements of her game weren't working and tried to improve on that in some of those games. Besides that she didn't let go after going down in that third set and actually played some good and smart games late in that third set.

Forehand got better at the end of the third, she stayed confident and took initiative when she needed to.

Very happy with her performance! :) KEEP IT UP!

wow didn't expect this. Na is playing quite solid and composed (just only watched when she was 2-4 down in third). :bolt: :worship:
Bartoli is just hopeless as always in 3 setters?:oh: but she is trying to be aggressive as always.

Come on China!:cheer: 中国加油!!

I'm so happy. The first match I watch and the player i wanted to win actually won. Impressive stuff from Bartoli, but by the end na was just outhitting her.:bounce::bounce::bounce:

Really, this again based off one match? I thought last year would have served to distill people thinking shes an automatic bye if you take her to a third but clearly not.

Yeah :cheer: At least she's positive and not as delusional as some other one time slam winner and former world #1.:oh:

Her English improved tenfold wow.
Of course. She's signing so many contracts and for sure her English would improve.:oh:

Well done NaNa!!!
Her first set is awful, maybe because of her lack of match practise or I should say practise, her serve is like , but in the second set, the real NaNa showed up and have many great forehand shots which make the crowd wow... Third set was tight, but NaNa never give up in 4-2 and grab 4 games in a row with the help with Marion;s error...

I can see the real Li Na back and she is definitely a dangerous opponent in 2012 still...

Well, at first NaNa's form is awful, nut after the first set, both of them are in-form... I mean Marion's form is better in the first set...

Pretty awful match for the most part. I don't even know how Na won after that disastrous first set. I think Marion just got tired or something half way through the second set, while Na picked her game up a little.

I would say both were fairly decent, given this is the first match of the year. For sure neither were at their best, but both played far worse matches than this one last year (Na especially)

li na should always beat bartoli, li is one of the few players who hits round the outside of the ball and gets width. once she started hitting her forehand crosscourt and dragging marion out of court the match changed completely.

marion is all huff and puff and frankly bluff. hopeless once dragged wide, flat serve shows up its weakness when the pressure is on.

But some encouraging tennis from Li. Best I've seen her play since maybe Wimbledon or RG?
