Monterey :worship: Israel Dec 27th, 2011, 09:00 PM It really depends on how she plays. She might get into GOAT mode or just fall into a long slump. She still hasn't proved she had the consistency to get to the top of the top. Anyway the most important thing is not the points or the rankings as much as her game improving. Would be nice if she could repeat QF at the slams or even make a SF, but it's going to be tough in 2012. mac47 Dec 27th, 2011, 09:47 PM Thank mac47 Made a Big Error lol It's OK. Half the tennis fans in the world had to squint to tell Vika and Petra apart at YEC, Wimbledon, and Madrid this year because of their Nike uniforms. Reephoria. Dec 27th, 2011, 09:53 PM Please do. Reephoria. Dec 27th, 2011, 09:54 PM Yeah, that's good enough for top 20. Just...:haha: How cute, a Carotard questioning the worth of a particular tournament. Are you feeling okay? ExtremespeedX Dec 28th, 2011, 06:23 AM No she will not; she is too fat and her serve is too poor, not to mention weak mental strength. She's a typical 12-18 player. claypova Dec 28th, 2011, 06:30 AM No she will not; she is too fat and her serve is too poor, not to mention weak mental strength. She's a typical 12-18 player. she can slim down and get fitter, she has the potential to have a good serve and mentally weak players still make it into the top 10  ExtremespeedX Dec 28th, 2011, 06:32 AM she can slim down and get fitter, she has the potential to have a good serve and mentally weak players still make it into the top 10  That is a huge IF. Pavly is a typical player riding her talent. Being top 5 or even top 10 takes a lot of hard work no matter how talented you are. Steven. Dec 28th, 2011, 06:34 AM For once I agree with ExtremespeedX. She's too big a girl. One of the hardest things in this world is to slim down and change your diet. Talent only gets you so far. Hard work is something you should never underestimate. For exmaple, look at where Nadal got with hard work, or on the WTA in recent years, look at where Stosur got. Six Feet Under Dec 28th, 2011, 06:48 AM I think she will have a 2012 similar to Petkovic's 2011 Setsuna. Dec 28th, 2011, 06:52 AM There is a lot of "ifs". I don't know. marineblue Dec 28th, 2011, 07:21 AM ok Andrea Petkovic only won Internationaux de Strasbourg in 2011 and is in the top ten Yes, however she also made a final in Beijing and had gone further in draws of big events. Something that A.P. isn't doing very often. marineblue Dec 28th, 2011, 07:24 AM How cute, a Carotard questioning the worth of a particular tournament. Are you feeling okay? I am not questioning it's worth, troll, calling WTA events MMs is your specialty.:wavey: thegreendestiny Dec 28th, 2011, 05:53 PM Of course she can. If she can make it to top 15 with that kind of fitness, anything is possible. Xepher Dec 28th, 2011, 05:57 PM If she can stay top 20 by the time Monterrey points come off, she will Smitten Dec 29th, 2011, 05:27 AM Oh I hope so. She dedicated her extended off-season to training and her fitness. Hopefully she gets a serve as well. If local players like Petkovic can make it so can Anastasia. She got some big match experience in 2011 and that helps going forward. | |
