Sorry I meant what matches will be on livestream. I found the OOP but don't know what courts they're going to stream since the stadium court doesn't start until 11 but the stream says it starts at 10? So it has to be an outside court then?

I only watched the last few games. All I know is you have a ton of die-hard compatriot tennis fans showing up for a teeny-tiny event, and now they are ALL booing you. That's moronic. Shake your opponent's hand like a human, and shake the umpire's hand, period, because everyone who cares about your career at all now thinks (correctly) that you're a sore loser.

Bad calls? I dunno, it was very hard for me to see the ball as my connection was blurry and kept skipping . So i really can't comment on the calls. :p

Other than that it was a great match to watch. Congrats go out to Gail :)

She didn't shake Gail's hand? If this is the case then I sincerely hope someone in her camp sits her down and talks with her about what happened today. I love CoCo and all, but I'm really not impressed with that type of attitude. Not shaking the umps hand is one thing, but not shaking your opponents hand when nothing major seemed to happen is another...unless I missed something earlier in the match?

Interesting little tidbit for those who may not know a whole lot about these girls' junior backgrounds. As someone mentioned, Gail Brodsky won the 2008 USTA Girls Championships. She actually beat Coco to take that title. Here is a little article about it.

Final 2008 Junior National Championship Singles and Doubles
Sunday, August 10, 2008
Amy Mosley

Today at the Berkeley Tennis Club, the USTA Junior Girls 18 and under National Championships held the final singles and doubles matches in glorious sunshine with a capacity crowd of spectators. Perhaps the greatest junior tennis tournament, co-sponsored by the Claremont Resort & Spa, this national championship offered the winners a wild card into the women’s singles and doubles main draws at the U.S. Open in New York later this month.

In singles, Gail Brodsky defeated Coco Vandeweghe in two sets, 7-5, 6-1. Born in Moscow and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Gail is a high school senior and trains in California at the Mark Weil Academy. Vandeweghe is a high school senior from Rancho Santa Fe, California.

Both Brodsky and Vandeweghe played opposite each other later in the day in the final doubles match. Brodsky’s partner, Mallory Cecil, from South Carolina, placed 6th in singles in this tournament. Vandeweghe’s partner, Jamie Hampton, from Alabama, won this doubles final tournament last year with Melanie Oudin.

Coco Vandeweghe and Jamie Hampton won the doubles final tournament, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. There was plenty of drama in the third set when Brodsky, who was serving, was penalized one point for racquet abuse. The score was 4-5, advantage Hampton, and this final penalty point became match point and victory for Vandeweghe/Hampton. While the crowds booed and cheered, the referee and staff insisted on this rule, and the game was over. To lose on a technicality cost Brodsky and Cecil the chance to see how their match would have played out in the end.

Gail pulled a Serena  Interesting to see how the shoe was on the other foot this time, with Coco acting like the diva. Gail seems to have mellowed out a bit. Probably for the best.
