She won twice as many games(8) as the best of Kim's 7 previous opponents.

serena looked tired and disinterested in my opinion...kim did a great job as well, she deserved it...congrats to both...

What for? She has loads and I'm certain they will be maxed out while she's still in Los Angeles.

LMAO! Yeah, Kim has had some pretty out-of-form opponents.
1. Serena - played well, but I don't think she was playing at 100% for the whole tournament
2. Venus: Injured
3. Justine: The UEs and DFs said it all
4. Chanda: what happened to Chanda?
....then the much lower ranked players of the Luxembourg tournament. I don't think Kim has been challenged since last time she played Lindsay (when Kim was burnt out, the week after Filderstadt)

After winning 3 of her last 4 tournaments, I think everyone knows, even if they are trying to deny it

Give Serena some credit!

Yes, she did put up a fight, but the thunder coming her way was too much and too skillful after this long a season.

one defintly has to give serena credit b/c she didnt play very well this entire championship and she said it in almost every interview she did she even said if she didnt play better Kim would win so its no surprise to me. I ts just amazing to me that neither serena nor venus really prepared for this event and did so well hopefully with this loss serena has new found confidence to raise her game another level along with venus best of luck to all players in 03' which should be an exciting year in womens tennis

Nobody can win them all. Serena isn't perfect but this imperfection could only make her better in the years to come.;)
