View Full Version : New people should be warned

When we join we should be warned that live scoring threads are a totally different dimension then the rest of the board. Not a very nice dimension either :o

Actually, they are usually good-natured. I think it is just the fans of certain players that you needed to be warned against.

I'm regularly involved in the scoring threads for Kim's matches and they have always been fine...however, the Serena/Jelena thread got quite nasty

If they are usually good natured, I'd like to know why it is that I never happen upon the so called "good natured" ones.

The only ones that I happen upon are disgusting, pathetic, ignorant, vile - and I'm being generous here!

It appalls me that people have nothing better to do with their pathetic lives, then write some of the crap that they write in scoring threads.

Lately it was so bad that I just gave up and asked for the link to the score board (which makes far more sense than a damn thread in the first place).

wait untill you bump into one of the political threads on NT:D . now, that's nasty;) .

You have the option to ignore a certain thread. It's as simple as that.

I am on page 22 of the Israeli thread. 79 more to go. :o

Strangely I feel I did not have that many to go 2 days ago :o

I enjoyed following the Widjaja and Cho thread last night even though I did not participate. It gave me certain expectations of the Serena and Jennifer thread today. I was sadly mislead. On the positive side I am aware of a few people who I now wish to stay away from :o

I think I will follow the match tomorrow at the site :)

Just do what you think is best for you.

Well you see - it is easy to ignore a bashing thread, if you see from the title that it is just that (ie- something with titles like "has jenn gained weight", "isn't Kim fat?",or something of the sort).

However - one should not see "live scores" and automatically think "land of vile hatred".

Personally, it would be nice to go into a live score thread for a quick update (if I don't know the link to the scoreboard, or there isn't one) - and not have to read "smack Jela's boobs off Serena!"

Or something equally stupid.

one has started to be nasty against Serena in that particular thread and it's only right to get back at them.

Nov 11th, 2002, 08:44 AM
you're seriously reading the Israeli thread:eek: ? man, you must have a headache:D . when you're finished come in and tell everyone in there that I was right all along, and they were just being evil (oh we all still get along on page 22, wait till you go a little further. but we have a big porn discussion somewhere around the middle, that should amuse you;) ).

Becca's right, that whole "just ignore" thing is not always that easy.

I never laid any blame on anyone Basic Tennis.

Rebecca you are right. Many threads scream "Skip me Skip me" ;)

Now there is a certain thread with a porn section in the middle I need to get back too :p :o

BasicTennis, I also wasn't putting the blame soley on you. I merely picked out a quote that had stuck in my head.
