Face it. Nicole's not coming back. The question was posed by a reporter to Step' at the Legg Mason tourney and Step said that it's not likely, although he has encouraged Nikki to return, but leaves it up to her to make a decision. Further, Matt Cronin of the Tennis Reporters saw Nicole in the stands and asked her point blank whether she'll return to the Tour. Her response was "no".

what an insane talent this girl was - ball basher but precise, hitting the lines, the serve. Could've been a hall of famer, such a strange spiral downward she took. From world class to not being able to even hit a forehand.

I was warming up to her too.

As much as I loved Vaidisova, she will go down as Kournikova 2.0 . She got her money, she got enough fame, and now she is content. Her own motivation is her biggest weakness. Too bad because she had a Slam winning game. That forehand and ROS were just :drool: Players like her and Golovin were supposed to take over from todays top ladies, imo and partially explains why we seemingly have a lack of young talent. We had them, they just either got chronically injured or gave in mentally/emotionally .

Kind of sad. She was part of the lost generation that should have dominated this generation suck era along with Golovin and Karatantcheva. They are all around the same age as Radwanska, Wozniacki, Azarenka but showed promise much earlier.

Overrated. Kvitova is the better Czech.
