CC

No I was not.:(
But here's a question for ya when you come back:
Why do you think some people are tall and some are short? For instance, how is it that you're taller than me? :punk:

tennisIlove09
Nov 9th, 2002, 07:22 PM
Well for the most part, guys are taller then girls, aren't they? I don't know. Some times I wish I could cut my legs off. They bother me. Especially in the movie theaters  I'm tall enough, but I'm still growing.

But isn't it better to be a tall man rather than a too tall woman? I'm short, but I prefer that because there's almost a guarantee that my sweetie will be usually be taller than me. Traditionally, women like their men to have some inches over them. :) :punk

I was going over a book I read a couple years ago by a Japanese writer. The book has his name Yasunari Kawabata, but on the net (or somewhere else; I'm not sure) it said Kawabata Yasunari. So basically I've been wondering which is his first name and which is his last.

Knwn fact: A lot of tall women have trouble finding the right partner as men don't wanna be a dwarf next to her woman.

exception: Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (obviosuly it didn't work after a number of years he worked it out ;) now he got a smaller lady.

Serena has won the last 3 events   I think Fantasy mirrors Real-Life. :)

The other players haven't figured out a way to beat her. I normally spend like 2 hours every Sunday doing all the matches for that week; and then the rankings. That way I don't have to worry about it again until the next week.

Did you find a job yet?

:o Perhaps the US doesn't have it. It's where you get money from the government to go to school. A Student Loan. I had them my two years of college. In my year off, I have to pay some off. But it will take a long time

CC
Nov 11th, 2002, 04:58 AM
I know what it is.:o :o
It's just that I was confused because you said "living off." I always understood that they were used for paying tuition and such, not for "living off."

tennisIlove09
Nov 11th, 2002, 05:01 AM
oh no. When I was in school, I moved away from home, so I got enough money to live off of. I got like $8, 000 each year. That was for books, tuition, rent for the year; food; drinking :D ect.

I went to school to write (I'm currently involved in an ongoing dispute with Microsoft Word on my home computer) and I only managed three paragraphs in three hours. I wonder if a writing career is such a good idea ...

I browsed over one of my favorite T.S. Eliot poems today. Look! There's some of it in my new sig!:D

CC
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:19 AM
... three tiny paragraphs. *sigh*

tennisIlove09
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:21 AM
When I want to write, I can write for a LONG time. I can get so much done; but when I'm not in the mood, I get nothing done. It can be a long process.

When I was in school though, forcing myself to write was fun  The best BS came from those moments

CC
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:31 AM
A LONG time? Are you one of those ramblers? Unfortunately, I have had to endure reading some rambling papers while on my old job.

But it really is about mood isn't it? Sometimes you just get into a grove. Other times the BS really does come in handy. Thank heavens for BS!:D

I notice lately that I hate to go back and read something I wrote, even if while doing it I thought it was good. It's very strange.

CC
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:32 AM
you can go into a grove if you really want to, but I meant groove.

tennisIlove09
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:35 AM
Rambler?

No, I just go on and on and on and on about very important stuff

I know, the first part to recovery is admitting you have a problem :o

If it wasn't for BS, I don't think I would have passed my English classes in college. My second english class was 17th Century Canadian Women literature. It was SO boring to read. I didn't finish one book we read; I just took good notes. BS, BS, BS. All of my papers.

I got a B- in that class :D

CC
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:41 AM
I know what you mean. I was just in an 18th century lit class and it was painful. Though, I doubt it would have been so bad if I was focused and able to keep up with the readings. The teacher was nice. I think the most interesting part of the class for me was her facial expressions.

tennisIlove09
Nov 13th, 2002, 12:46 AM
I use to sit at the back of the classes; but then I lost my glasses

But I had to sit near the front. I always took notes; so she wouldn't ask me questions :D

CC

tennisIlove09

No, not at all. I don't drive. I walk

CC

Well I did say "dream car."

I drive a pathetic Mercury Tracer, which my brother crashed recently. I shouldn't call it pathetic. *Jimmy please forgive me* It is a faithful car. Yes, that's the word.

Don't worry about walking. If you lose your legs you won't have to walk no more. And if I lose my mouth I won't have to talk no more. Isn't that reassuring?

tennisIlove09

tennisIlove09
Nov 13th, 2002, 02:08 AM

CC

We are still friends. He keeps me up to date on all the latest gossip (we used to go to the same junior college) about our aquaintances. Unfortunately, he broke his shin playing soccer for his new college. The guy didn't even go for the ball. He just kicked him and snapped his leg.

It might be impossible to hide it from my brothers. Is it something like soft porn? Did you see Unfaithful with Richard Gere? I hate movies that insult my intelligence. If it has explicit sex, then the plot and development has to make it worthwhile.

tennisIlove09

No, it's not soft porn. You see some breasts, girls kissing, and that's about all. There's one seen where a girl is masterbating, but you don't see too much, it's on her face.

I didn't see the Unfaithful movie. Was it any good?

It's about a wife who cheats on her husband with a random guy she meets on a windy day. She shows no sensitivity for her husband's feelings. They are just very depraved. At one point the lover cheats on her. She goes to his apartment, fights, as she is leaving he grabs her in the hallway outside his apartment, and they have sex right there in the manner similar to that of dogs. Just all round pointlessness and an unclear, weak ending to top it off.

I don't mind movies like Mulholland Dr. Just as long as it makes sense and is not purely crude. I should say, I don't understand the rave about porn movies.

I saw Boys Don't Cry, which has lesbian love scenes, but you're not really thinking about it. It's a true story which I heard a little about, so I was just very tense waiting to see what was going to happen.

"Just as long as it makes sense"

If you understand the movie, you are wonderful. When you do, tell me what's going on.

I haven't seen Boys Don't Cry. I have watched too, but Hilary Swank really bugs me. At the Oscars she was like "I'm so surprised", then she pulls out a speech. People like that bother me.

They bug me too, but I guess you call it being prepared just in case. Swank is a really good actress though.

I liked it. Swank's performance was exceptional. She played a guy and did it rather well, so I think she was deserving of all the awards it brought. It's just one of those movies where you can see where it's heading and you're thinking, "No, don't do it. Just go home. Oh geez, she did it." You can see the climax coming, and when it happens you feel even more sorry because you know it was a true story.

Today I went out to eat with my sister and her husband, my two younger brothers, and my mother, and for some reason I decided to wear a T-shirt with the words, "I FAKED IT." You know the implication. My sister told me not to wear it again, but I probably will. Ha!

Too funny. I actually had a great weekend. A lot of time for myself. I'm the type of person that I like to be alone, just to think about whatever. So it was a good weekend.

I have a terrible week of work though. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.  Oh well, it's money.

CC

I like to spend time at home too. My sister says I'm a dreamer and I may need counselling, though. It's just that I like solitude and I'm comfortable with myself. Some people are afraid of being alone because of insecurities.

tennisIlove09

I think that's why I'm a night owl. Because I get that time alone. After everyone goes to bed. it's just so nice to be in the silence

CC

I can't stay up too late. I got a disease. When we go to the clubs I'm tired and bored after two hours. My sister usually wants to stay till morning. I have to get enough sleep or else I get a headache and I'm real miserable.

tennisIlove09
Nov 18th, 2002, 02:00 AM
I need sleep too, but because of my job, I am able to do the hours I like. I work in the evenings, so I normally stay up until 2:30 am, and then sleep in until noon.

I really don't do the club scene too much. It's just the same thing over and over and over again. And it's so expensive. why not just stay home and drink? and then you don't have to deal with any mistakes you may bring home

CC

I usually come back home with the people I went with. *smile*

um..well. First year of college, I was 17. I graduated from High School when I was 17, cause my b-day is in January, I was always 1 year younger then most.

Anyhoo...I didn't go drinking/bars until second term, when I turned 18. I was a "good" kid, and this really my first time drinking. [I had one time in High school, but that's it].

So, when I got drunk very easy. My roommate was like 23, so he had been doing this for a few years. He was like "I won't let you do anything stupid".

Well...  I brought home some chick. I really don't remember very much of that night. But she was hot, but still, I'm not the type that has sex with someone I don't know. I never really got that drunk again. I've learned my lesson, I guess.

CC
Nov 18th, 2002, 02:32 AM
I can't really say I've done anything like that. I don't really get out-of-my-mind-drunk when I go out. When I was younger I remember I went to a party with my brothers and sisters and I got really drunk and danced like a fool (even worse, I can't really dance). Other than that, my first time getting drunk was one Christmas when my brother bought me a whole bottle of Red Label Wine (a Jamaican wine). I was a laughing fool till I fell asleep. I'm always conscious though, because alcoholism runs in my family. Although it was mostly a problem for the older generations, I'm still cautious. Now when I drink I stop at my limit. But I guess in time I will be doomed anyway. Or is that too pessimistic?

No, it's not. And you're not doomed. It actually runs in my family too. That's why I don't really drink too much. When I was in college, the first year, I did pretty bad. But last year I didn't. I just didn't see the point. I mean, if I went out Friday, I would sleep in until 3:00 pm, and not get any home work done. I was resting for that night, and the same process again on Sunday. I don't know how people get work done.

Oh well.

Noo! Twelve is the what-do-you-have-to-worry-about-age. Adults can be so condescending to youngsters.

Speaking of condescension and kids, my little brother wants the computer. They can be so annoying at times. They barely crack the can open and drink out the Ice Tea, then they let water seep into the can and put it back into the refridgerator. When I pop the can (I thought it sounded funny) and start to drink, low and behold it's water! They think that's so hillarious.

Anyway, toodles sweets. He is bigger than me so I think it's only prudent to get off now. http://www.plaudersmilies.de/tiere/sheep.gif

However, I was reduced to the position of assistant chef, so that might have something to do with it.

It all started when I attempted to season "the turkey." Let me tell you, it is quite a grave thing, this turkey business. Very intimidating and very frightening. Apart from my usual awkwardness around the kitchen, my mishandling of the beast from that very beginning caused family members to become concerned. My brother began to play an active role in the cooking and I was somewhat demoted. Still, things turned out well. (The rice --- which I prepared --- gave me a scare, but it recovered well enough).
