Beating Sharapova at Wimbledon is even more important for her than winning her first and only WTA title at Tashkent as she mentioned it first :sobbing:

Wasn't Maria's shoulder already messed up then and she underwent surgery soon after?

If I were her, these would be my favorites as well. First of all, the defeat of Sharapova put her on the map (never mind that she lost that map). Second, the title win against Vesnina required her to come back from being down (Vesnina collapse, really). It was her first title after losing her first final the previous week (approx) against Jarmila. Great wins for her. If only she could get some of that moxie back and figure out how to use her skills and brain better. :help:

She's cool, though.
