There were some good points in this match. I was impressed by some of Nadia's rallying. She worked over Ana's groundies on both sides.

When she is on, Petrova's striking game is just a joy to watch. So refreshing to see someone hitting the ball with power, going for the kill, instead of pushing and moonballing their opponents to death...

Happens in just about all of the Ana's matches. Her and Kim Clijsters.

I favored Nadia to win this match from the beginning but also thought that Ana could make an upset.

Ana was not very smart in this match, there were some points that showed her intelligence on court, particularly on the first 3 games of the second set, although her emotion gets the better of her and she deserved to lose.

I hope she could control more on her emotion, I think she involves her emotion with the crowd too much and not use it to focus on tennis as much as she should. Maybe she won't lose this habit, but I think she knew this and wants to control it, but so far, not good enough.

Anyway, I have to say Nadia is so underrated and this win is not a surprise, I did not see Mchale played today but I think Nadia will still win.
