She probably does ;) She likely meant first win since Wimbledon though haha Libertango Aug 16th, 2011, 04:31 PM Na looked sharper today. Good work. I loved how the umpire was pronoucning Safarova - Zha-far-zuh-vuh. :hearts: That's correct, yes? tennisbum79 Aug 16th, 2011, 04:31 PM did she just say that this was her first match after Wimbledon? Guess she really wants to forget about that Stosur match. She is still in the cloud of the RG celebration. She can't remember anything after signing so many endorsement contracts:lol: Specter Aug 16th, 2011, 04:31 PM Totally expected. tennisbum79 Aug 16th, 2011, 04:34 PM Totally expected. I did not think it would be this one-sided HuHu Aug 16th, 2011, 04:35 PM http://i56.tinypic.com/9kct8x.jpg tennisbum79 Aug 16th, 2011, 04:37 PM http://i56.tinypic.com/9kct8x.jpg Poor numbers in every category from Lucie Imperfect Angel Aug 16th, 2011, 04:47 PM Na :cheer: Ferg Aug 16th, 2011, 04:54 PM I know Na is only interested in Slams these days but she needs MM wins too. :p Ayumilover. Stonerpova Aug 16th, 2011, 05:10 PM What a hot mess from Safarova. Laura_VeeFan Aug 16th, 2011, 05:15 PM :cheer::bounce: I honestly thought she was in trouble but I'm glad she won :) Break My Rapture Aug 16th, 2011, 05:18 PM What is with all the sucktastic performances from WTA players here? :hysteric: Yesterday we had the abomination that was called Petkovic/Gajdosova and now Lucie puts on shitfest too. dsanders06 Aug 16th, 2011, 05:25 PM Na played pretty well, aside from the brainfart right at the end. She's actually a pretty underrated mover - she brought quite a lot of balls back into play, frustrating Safarova into errors. I can see her testing Serena in the next round (assuming Serena doesn't get bored and tanks to Hradecka or Stosur). Slutiana Aug 16th, 2011, 05:29 PM Awful performance from Lucie but uncharacteristically solid from Li there. Will be interesting to see who she faces in the third round - she would undoubtedly lose in straights to Stosur, but should she play Serena, there's no doubt that she will raise her game as everyone always seems to do. dsanders06 Aug 16th, 2011, 05:33 PM Awful performance from Lucie but uncharacteristically solid from Li there. Will be interesting to see who she faces in the third round - she would undoubtedly lose in straights to Stosur, but should she play Serena, there's no doubt that she will raise her game as everyone always seems to do. It's not that Na raises her game for certain players, it's just her game matches up with Serena's a lot better than it does Stosur's. Na doesn't cope with spin well at all, partly due to the fact she's relatively short... whereas Serena's serve/shots fall into her "wheelhouse" (hate that term) more naturally. With that said, even if she plays Stosur, I'd expect Na to give a better account of herself than last week, because the faster surface here makes Stosur's game less effective. Ntosake Aug 16th, 2011, 05:38 PM Agree, Li Na preformed way better today. Not so for Lucie. She seemed more fierce in her last match. Светльо Aug 16th, 2011, 05:57 PM good that NaNa won a match :yeah: Lucifer is nothing without Tomas :awww: dsanders06 Aug 16th, 2011, 06:25 PM Lucifer is nothing without Tomas :awww: Have they split up? Libertango Aug 16th, 2011, 07:53 PM ^They have; a couple of weeks ago. Wert. Totally unexpected. Lucie  sCoTt.ChE. Aug 17th, 2011, 12:16 AM Appalling serving stats from Lucie. :o I can't remember the last time she had under 50% first serves in, win or lose. Nevermind, maybe just never got going. hpme Aug 17th, 2011, 04:19 AM Li didn't play very good. Hitting balls out quite often longtin23 Aug 17th, 2011, 12:55 PM Well, Li played better than in Toroto. Her first game have each set is :o But won 5 games in a row in each set  At 5-2 she played two awful games, oressure to win... Lots of forehand error through the match but some decent GH winniners... Congrats Na! | |
