Sveta, I thought, was somewhat sloppy (and apparently not happy with her game if you can go by her discussion with Larisa). Jill was steady, but not enough talent to beat Sveta, ultimately.

glad she won, but that was mediocre at best. Her game has not quite returned yet--when you're getting pushed around the court by Jill Craybas, not a great sign for your game.

Sveta is off form, so she needs any matches she can get

A win at least but not impressive at all, some good points here and there but no consistency, serve still pretty weak and she just seems insecured...she plays 3 points in a row and then suddenly plays like sh** again!
Well, she also needs a few more matches on hard, so I hope she improves next round....

What a dull match, no wonder the crowd was silent. Svetlana's game is in such a weird place at the moment. She'll start a point wonderfully but then it degrades into an ugly error. She was lucky she didn't have a tougher opponent otherwise she might not have won.
