Yeah Eggy, I missed you all and I certainly missed a forum to express my admiration for Lina.
How did you find this? I couldn't. May So (aka Skaya nowadays) told me.
By the way, the watch Lina's wearing on your picture I bought for my best friend Martine over a month ago.
It's a Nike. Lina and I have the same taste for things, I knew it! She's my kinda girl.

I wonder, if Lina is going to try some last gasp effort to qualify for Munich. With unknown number of withdrawal from Munich she might still have a chance..
Oct 1st, 2001, 03:11 AM
Munich is tough ..... as she only has Moscow & Zurich to play.
Lina's got a tough 1st rd at home as well .... but I'm confident more than in Tokyo.
Good luck Lina ..... and get your forehand going ..... when thats on fire she's on fire .

Hey TBE, I sure hope Lina beats Dokic at Kremlin Cup for god's sakes! I am not very fond of Dokic.... I really dislike her from the day one.
Is Lina playing Dokic in the first round? Is it on Tuesday? Is there a website to follow this tournament properly?
Anyway, good luck Lina! Hope you'll be on Eurosport!
Oct 2nd, 2001, 02:32 AM
good luck 2 lina, i'll be really happy with the win of lina or jelena, it sure will be a good match
Oct 2nd, 2001, 03:16 AM
andre .....where have you been ????
website ????? its the best
Oct 2nd, 2001, 01:14 PM
WOW! Lina lost, but she showed she belongs with the top guns, taking #11 Jelena to 7-5 in the 3rd. I hope she takes away from this match many positives about her game and her heart!
But NEXT time, Lina: GET A GOOD DRAW!!! This run of tough draws can't continue forever!
Oct 2nd, 2001, 02:37 PM
Janie ..... Lina didn't play particularly well .... disappointing performance .... serve was all over in set 1 ..... was a break up twice and double faulted twice to gave JD the break back.
She wasn't going for her shots either like I've seen .
Jelena played bad ...... Lina worse in IMO .... both as bad as each other and at end it was too close to call.
Lina has to pick up in Zurich .... and hopefully she has to play qualies .... some matches is what she needs ..... she plays better the more she plays in an event.
Oct 2nd, 2001, 07:15 PM
Thanks for the report, Eggy. After I posted that, I did read elsewhere that neither player played well at all. It si disappointing, though the score sounded pretty good.
I am now wishing that Lina would play something in Tier 3 or Tier 4 instead of Tier 2 to finish her year. She needs a few wins to get confident again. And she always draws a seed in the 1st or 2nd round, so she can't get a good rhythm going.
Oct 3rd, 2001, 11:57 AM
Looking at the remaining schedule, I wish that Lina would play in that Slovak Indoor event.
The top seed there is Elena Likhotseva! Lina could be seeded and have a good run there, maybe win it. And with Likhotseva and Elena B. both playing there, she wouldn't even be lonely.
What do you guys think?
Oct 3rd, 2001, 12:34 PM
Janie .... she's playing in Zurich as thats an Octagon event and they are her management agency.
Slovakia would have been good for her but Lina tends to play in the big events , but it clashes with Zurich and she isn't going to play until 1st week in Australia.
Lina will have 5 WTA events plus AUS OPEN before the AER ruling comes off at end of April when she is 18.
Oct 3rd, 2001, 04:20 PM
Thanks for explaining, Eggy. I knew she wouldn't be allowed to play many more times till ber birthday.
So now I can root for Elena B & Elena L in Slovakia, and Lina in Zurich! (Among my other favorites, of course!)

good luck girls
Oct 3rd, 2001, 07:05 PM
I agree with Janie Lina should play in a lesser event once in a while, to try and win that. Kournikova has never done it and now she gets to hear this 'she's never won a tournament' bullshit all the time. Lina should try to avoid such a thing happening to her by winning Oklahoma for instance. Even the Dutch players Mesker and Bollegraf could win that tournament.
Oct 3rd, 2001, 07:21 PM
Marat said today that Larisa is coaching Dinara. Is she still coaching Lina too or...?
Oct 4th, 2001, 03:37 AM
Larisa is still helping Lina as well , but when the coaching is shared it affects both parties and since they've been sharing Larisa both have suffered .
Lina has to make a choice over the close season whether or not to hire another coach.
Not sure why Raouza has given up coaching Dinara , only reason i can think is she's coaching at Spartak & has less time to travel.

Oct 23rd, 2001, 02:18 PM
Lina is so nice and attractive! And she has incredible arms, too! I only wish she would let her hair grow longer. I hope 2002 is Lina's breakout year. I was hoping it would be this year, but the age restriction rule hampered her play. How would Lina's fans compare her ability to the other Russian girls? I have only seen Lina play a few games against Martina Hingis at the 2001 U.S. Open. She was nervous and played badly. But does Lina have as much ability as Anna Kournikova and Elena Dementieva?
Oct 23rd, 2001, 02:58 PM
Lina's got just as much if not more ability , just she tends to tense up which is her downfall , but once she gets playing week in week out she will make quick progress.
Elena also had this problem until she got past her age ruling then she went from strength to strength , Lina is more advanced at her age than Elena was ,. hopefully she can do or better what Elena has managed in the next year or so.
Lina's site ...... that was up a few days ago but now its gone off again .... thanx fresh for letting us know when its back.
Oct 29th, 2001, 05:36 PM
Lina`s official site won`t appear.
Oct 29th, 2001, 05:50 PM
What do you mean, fresh?
Oct 29th, 2001, 05:57 PM
Lina's site was up around last week but it's been taken off , think it has something to do with Octagon
Lina also isn't picked for FED CUP ( clay being one reason)
Oct 29th, 2001, 06:25 PM
ys, I don`t understand. There are some tensions, but...
You know they may even close down Elena Dementieva`s site. Very stupid.
Oct 29th, 2001, 06:44 PM
That's too bad. But unless it is for financial reasons, I really doubt they can close well-running and publicly advertised and announced project. But, of course, you know better.. Good luck.
Oct 29th, 2001, 07:41 PM
Eggy, they left Lina off the Fed Cup team? That's ridiculous! If Anna Kournikova wanted to be on the team, then I could see Lina being ommitted. But who took her place? I can se Dementieva, Myskina and Likhovtseva on the team. Are there 4 or 5 members? They took Petrova instead? For doubles? I would bet that Lina and Larissa will part ways. What do you think?
[ October 31, 2001: Message edited by: the cat in the hat ]

Oct 29th, 2001, 07:53 PM
Her disagreement is more with Shamil ( capt) rather than Larisa.
Hope she can sort it out , wouldn't want Lina to end up like Panova
This is also on clay which she doesn't like .
Nadia will play doubles with Elena L ( no other reason for her to be chosen)
Elena Bovina's best surface is clay , thats her reason for also being chosen ( also won 2 doubles titles in last 2 weeks)
Oct 29th, 2001, 08:21 PM
You mean, with Panova it is case closed, she'll never be selected for as long as..?
Oct 29th, 2001, 08:28 PM

Lina has problems with her back. Unfortunately, it may ruin her career if chronic.
Nov 13th, 2001, 08:00 AM
what's problem with her back? i wish Lina will be ok
Nov 14th, 2001, 11:15 AM
Skaya, it`s not certain, but they say, that Lina has back problems since childhood. When I asked Lina about this matter, she refused to answer (that I can understand). I even think, that she was frightened to bother this subject.
But one person, who was very close to the family, confirmed the rumour. He said, her mother was too careless with her training.
Nov 14th, 2001, 11:38 AM
not her back again
thanx for the news . Her back does play up from time to time sadly.
Nov 14th, 2001, 11:57 PM
I think the new ranking system will hurt players at Lina's level. Even more than before, it encourages them to play in the largest tournaments, because so many more points are on offer there. But this strategy robs them of the chance to "play into" the tournament and get any rythym going -- something that we have seen, and Eggy has told us, that Lina really needs at this point in her career.
I hope Lina will disregard the fact of the meager points now on offer in the Tier 3 and 4s, and play them anyway. Because players need to remember, the points they get for losing first round in the very top Tier 1's are even fewer.
Nov 15th, 2001, 01:12 AM
thanks for the news. Best wish to Lina.
God blesses Lina
Nov 15th, 2001, 03:44 AM
Lina tends to play in the BIG events mostly anyway so she will be ok , i hope.
2001, Lina played in all but 3 of the Tier 1 events.
missed Tokyo PPO , Charleston and Berlin.
Nov 15th, 2001, 02:33 PM
Lina is too young to have serious back problems. Isn't she? I just hope her parents didn't push her too hard in training when Lina was a child. Because physical problems may have been created from over working a young and growing body. I hope that's not the case. Udachi Lina!

Skaya ..... I've got mixed feelings about Lina playing and doing well here.
if she beats Coetzer then she can't play Sydney unless she gets a WC into maindraw
SF of HKG are friday night and Lina will have to play doubles 1st then her singles,
Sydney qualies starts Friday, if Lina still wants to play there she'd have to fly Friday night and play 2 matches on Saturday which would be too much.

When I went out, Lina had just won the first set and I was so excited...and then I came back to find that she had retired, and my heart broke...this should have been a big tournament and she got screwed. :( :(
Get well soon, Lina!
Jan 15th, 2002, 04:02 PM
so am i and so is she.
Lina started good broke serve then double faulted twice in a row to lose serve  , then she got into her groove and won 5 games in a row, that 6th game was important as she saved 5 BP's and hung on to make it 3-3.
Lina still made far too many UE's for her liking esp on FH side, she slaps at ball.
Lina was dictating play until she went over her ankle in 2nd set, she tried to carry on but she couldn't.
She got more 1st serves in but they were just powderpuff as she couldn't jump onto her left foot.
Conchita hit nearly all her winners after Lina got injured. Lina might have won with injury if she wasn't playing someone so clever.
Doubles isn't looking good at moment, will decide how it is tomorrow and decide.
Jan 15th, 2002, 06:24 PM
Thanks for the news, Eggy!
Poor Lina, she had such a good chance with this draw. Maybe it's better not to play doubles so she can rest her ankle and doesn't aggravate it.
What an awful start of the season
Jan 16th, 2002, 01:24 AM
What a pity, what bad luck. First the change of the draw which was in Lina's disadvantage and now this.
Things can only get better. Wish Lina the best of luck from me, will you?
Jan 16th, 2002, 03:59 AM
Here is the pic when Lina twisted her ankle against Conchita Martinez.
She looks in a lot of pain!!!
Jan 16th, 2002, 07:48 AM
Awww! Poor thing!
I wish I didn't look at the pic, it's too sad!
Jan 16th, 2002, 08:34 AM

Wish Lina get well very soon
Jan 16th, 2002, 12:50 PM
Lina's injury is bad :( when i left her she was still getting treatment.
Found outt that Lina left the site on crutches  , I don't think she will be fit for Tokyo either
Jan 16th, 2002, 01:28 PM
Jan 16th, 2002, 05:13 PM
Thanks for letting us know, Egg. It sounds as if she partially tore a ligament, not just stretched it. Sad news for Lina.
Do your rehab exercises, Lina! You will come back like new before you know it!
Jan 16th, 2002, 06:45 PM
Poor girl
Jan 17th, 2002, 12:14 AM
This is too sad. Haven't looked at the picture yet, expect it to be painful. Damn.
Lina, recover soon baby!
Jan 17th, 2002, 12:47 AM
Dr. Janie, let's hope it isn't a torn ligament. These Russian girls just can't stay healthy. Can they?
Do we chalk up Lina's injury to those sticky rubbery rebound ace courts?
Who was LIna scheduled to play in the first round before they changed the draw? And why did they change the draw? They should have left Lina where she was.
Jan 17th, 2002, 06:04 AM
Hi cat, Lina suppose against Janette Husarova before they changed the draw.
Jan 17th, 2002, 07:10 PM
Lina's just not had a very good start to 2002.
Hope she gets better soon so we can see her magnificent smile again!
Jan 20th, 2002, 04:36 AM
Who's that on the picture Sonja? (Just kidding)
Yeah, Lina's smile makes me happy and her tears make me sad.
Recover soon Lina!
Are you stil there Eggy? Enjoying yourself?:wavey: :wavey: :wavey:
Jan 20th, 2002, 05:46 AM
I'm still here but got nothing to watch today so I'm gonna relax , plus its too hot today.
Lina went home on the Wednesday, gonna have some tests done.
Probably go out later in day and check in with Elena and see whats shes upto
Jan 20th, 2002, 07:33 AM
Thanks for the report, Eggy!
Jan 22nd, 2002, 11:03 PM
Cool! What was Elena upto?:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Jan 27th, 2002, 09:47 PM
As expected Lina's not playing Tokyo
Jan 28th, 2002, 12:17 AM
very sad indeed
another month on the sidelines at the minimum
I dont want her to comeback to early and seriously damage herself
Jan 28th, 2002, 12:35 AM
Oh, shoot! She must have a serious tear in there.
Do your rehab, Lina! It will help you coe back strong, when the times comes.
Jan 28th, 2002, 12:40 AM
and when she does come back her rank will be really low again :(
it just isn't fair
Lina should have been moving towards top 20 at the OZ now she will be fallin fast and could be around 70 when she returns.
Jan 30th, 2002, 01:43 PM
Lina left a message on my Lina's web site message board:
"Hello evryone!I'm so glad that I harve such a good web-site!I want to thank that girl who made this site!THANK YOU!And of course I want to thank all my fans! You are great! So,I think evryone want to know how am I doing?I'm great! My foot is getting better and I hope to start practising soon!
All the best,Lina."
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Jan 30th, 2002, 04:32 PM
I heard the same thing as well, got conformation
At the moment she is undergoing special
medical rehabilitation and should start practicing at the end of this week.
So Lina should be ok for her next Tournament in Scottsdale.
but as she is Gold Exempt , Lina can enter late after deadlines into other tourns as well :)
she still has 5 WTA events to play before end of April.
Lina's missed two for different reasons
Then she has two more, hopefully se plays the ones on Amelia Is and Charleston.
Jan 31st, 2002, 01:19 AM
That's great news! :D
Maybe there's still a slight chance she'll come to Antwerp. Though I'm afraid it will be too soon.
It's really nice of Lina to write a message on your board Skaya!
Feb 2nd, 2002, 02:05 AM
What will probably be lina her next tournament?
Feb 2nd, 2002, 08:07 AM
most likely Scottsdale
but there could be a chance for Lina to play Memphis all depends on how her ankle is and whether the GE WC has been taken or not.
Feb 2nd, 2002, 09:50 AM
Lina's agent said Scottsdale would be her next tournament.
Feb 2nd, 2002, 09:55 AM
Finally, i scanned some pic of Lina that i took when she played in HK in last Jan.
Feb 2nd, 2002, 01:53 PM
thanx Skaya for pics :)
Feb 2nd, 2002, 09:09 PM

Feb 3rd, 2002, 07:22 PM
Does Lina has a boyfriend or ever had one?
Feb 3rd, 2002, 10:08 PM
I remember she was once asked if she got attention from guys and she said "no" but I somehow doubt that... she's beautiful! :)
Go Lina!!! Get back to health soon! :)

Feb 4th, 2002, 01:17 AM
Hey Vanity, I'm a fan of Vanity too! I have two different 45's of Nasty girl. Did you see her in 52 Pick up? Too bad she's gone religious.
Feb 4th, 2002, 02:23 AM
Wow! I didn't come to Lina's thread for one week, now I see all this good news! :)
The main thing is, that ankle is healing and she can start to practice again. Scottsdale is not too far off!
Do your rehab assiduously Lina! We want to see you back in full health soon! :D :D :D
Feb 4th, 2002, 11:50 PM
So glad to hear she's coming back! Skaya, you must have been thrilled to see her post on your site. It IS a great site!
LINA K - Back to stay!
Feb 5th, 2002, 04:02 AM
Hey, I love your new avatar Skaya! :)
Feb 5th, 2002, 08:45 AM

Feb 5th, 2002, 10:26 AM

Woow nice pictures, thanks
Feb 5th, 2002, 11:07 PM
Thanks for sharing. Does she EVER take a bad picture? :p
Feb 6th, 2002, 12:10 AM
I agree Sonja, Lina's so photogenic! Thanks very much for these great pictures!
Cassius, no offense meant, I was only joking. But Vanity of Vanity 6 (former lover of Prince) has gone very religious (after what he and cokane running around her brain did to her).
Feb 6th, 2002, 12:35 AM
Lina is lovely! If only she wasn't so injury prone, she might be in the top 20 by now. I hope she can stay healthy the rest of 2002, and find the fine form she had last spring. Thankfully Lina is almost finished with the well intentioned, but misguided age restriction rule.
Feb 6th, 2002, 01:36 AM
Eggy, here is your avatar.:)
Feb 6th, 2002, 11:08 AM
this is a recent pic of Lina, I think (someone else has already showed it on this site, but not this thread).
Don't you think Lina has 'filled out' in her arms and legs (like Elena Dementieva). If she turns out half as good as Elena she will be gorgeous, but she could end up looking like Williams or Capriati (or Safin, haha).
Feb 6th, 2002, 11:09 AM
oops, sorry here is the pic
Feb 6th, 2002, 12:39 PM
thanks Cassius!!!!! :D
Feb 6th, 2002, 02:36 PM
Cassius ..... that pic of Lina is over a year old.
Lina is now with Reebok, plus also her hairdo is of 2000 :)
Feb 8th, 2002, 02:20 AM
Looks like she turned out well then!!!!1
Feb 11th, 2002, 04:36 AM
Does anybody have any news on when Lina will be back?
Feb 11th, 2002, 05:16 AM
hey Skaya!! where did you get your avatar-thingy pic from.!!
Feb 11th, 2002, 06:37 AM
My avatar is from HK tennis tourn. magazine :) Lina will play Scottsdale tourn. in coming 25th
:bounce: Best Luck to Lina in Scottsdale!! :bounce:
Feb 12th, 2002, 03:43 AM
hey skaya, is www.linakrasnorouskaya.net your website??
If it is let me congratulate you on a job well done!
If it is not your site, well nevermind it's still great, but I won't congatulate you (LOL)
Feb 12th, 2002, 04:18 AM
hey skaya, for more Lina pics from Hong Kong go to www.hktpa.com, click on background info, then player profiles, click on Lina's gallery et voila!! I would get the pics myself but for some reason my server keeps putting up an error message on my screen. I already asked someone to get the Elena pics but didn't think to ask them for the Lina ones (sorry)!
Hope it works for you!!
Feb 12th, 2002, 09:13 AM
Hi Cassius, thanks for visiting my Lina's website :)
Feb 16th, 2002, 06:22 PM
I have readed that Lina Krasnoroutskaya is not very loved by other tennis players, that many of them don't like her ... Is this true
Feb 16th, 2002, 09:55 PM
where did you hear/read that from ???
I know Lina's had one or two incidents in the past but she's learnt from that and will be all the better for it.
Feb 17th, 2002, 02:14 AM
Feb 17th, 2002, 09:27 AM
Does Lina play in Indian Wells or in Miami?
Feb 17th, 2002, 09:02 PM
before she comes back to Europe
Feb 18th, 2002, 05:07 PM
Will she play in Rosmalen again Eggy? Did Lina like that tournament despite her 1st round loss? I hope she'll come to Holland again. But I'm going there anyway, I liked seeing both men and women play. Great tournament!
Feb 18th, 2002, 05:11 PM
too early to tell yet but she wants to get into Eastbourne if she can but needs to do well over the next 5 events she has to get back up.
Feb 19th, 2002, 12:04 AM
Hi, Eggy do you (or anyone else reading this) know when Lina will be back playing? And what her current ranking has dropped to since she's been injured?
Feb 21st, 2002, 11:50 AM
Lina's withdrawn from Scottsdale :(
next event is Indian Wells now but even that could be doubtful :(
Her rank has dropped from 34 and will be around 60 next week
Feb 21st, 2002, 01:57 PM

Feb 21st, 2002, 04:10 PM
Damn, poor Lina :(
Feb 21st, 2002, 06:19 PM
not funny news, but she will come back
Feb 21st, 2002, 07:49 PM
The Russian injury curse continues! it's surprising that she isn't 100% yet. Udachi Lina!
Feb 22nd, 2002, 12:57 PM
Lina's been advised to take an extra week off so she will be back for Indian Wells ** touch-wood **
Just hope its the end of her injuries.
Feb 22nd, 2002, 11:28 PM
Better not to rush things - now we have to hope for a good draw at IW!
Feb 23rd, 2002, 10:10 AM
Here have some more Lina's pics which i took in HK in last Jan. She signs her autographs for her HK fans and took pic with them at the Watson Water booth.

Feb 23rd, 2002, 10:13 AM
Best wishes to Lina. Wish her have a great come back in Indian Wells.:wavey:
