She started the year really well with a QF in Brisbane, a win over Petrova in Sydney and R3 at the Australian Open. She took Li Na to three sets at the French Open, gave Schiavone a close-run match at Wimbledon and wasn't too far from beating Wozniacki in Charleston. She's scored about four top-25 wins this year too, which is more than the rest of her career combined (I think). Yes, she's been losing a lot recently but it hasn't been too bad.
