Picks
Every week, you (pickers) should pick three players in WTA tour in a tournament main draw . You need to pick two sets of players. Each sets consist of 3 players you picked. You will get the scores from which the three players you pick really get in that tournament in WTA. Please submit your score before the deadline (usually before the first main draw match starts).
Set A
Any three players from the draw in that tournamnet.
Set B
1. A seeded player
2. An unseeded player (not qualifier/lucky loser)
3. A qualifier/lucky loser
In set B you also need to state how far the players you pick can go.(Winner, Fianlist, SF,QF...)
FOR EXAMPLE Sydney 2011
longtin23 choose :
SET A
Li Na, Caroline Wozniacki, Kim Clijister
Set B
Li Na Winner, Pennetta Semi Finalist, Jovanovski Quarter Finalist
Your scores :
In set A you can get : Li NA win (470) + Wozniacki 2nd round (1) + Kim Finallist (320) = 791 points
In set B : Li Na win (470+235*) + Pennetta QF (120) + Jovanoski (200**) = 10255 points
Then, you whole score in the tournament will be 791 + 825 = 1816 points
* : You can get extra half of scoring points of that player for each correct stage guess in set B
** : Points from qualifying round are deducted
Your score will be compared with other players. Based your score, we can then determine who is winner and finalist and etc… You will then rewarded with ranking points.
Ranking points will be awarded as here
Ranking:
Top 16 scored tournaments are counted for their rankings based on their 52-week tour. Points from all grandslams (except Wimbledon) and Premier Mandatory event (except 2011 Madrid and Rome) must be counted. No exceptions .
FAQ
1. If a player withdraw, can I change my pick?
If a player withdraw before the first first round match is played, you can make a new pick before the deadline of pick. But you need to post your pick in a new post, not editing your original one. In other cases, for example, a player withdraw when they are playing. Sorry, you cannot pick another player. So make sure you pick a health player.
2. If qualifying round and main draw match are playing on the same day, when is deadline?
The deadline is still the time when the first main draw match starts. You should state TBC for the third player in Set B and choose a qulifier after all qualifiers are determined. You should post it on a new post and should be before the late entry deadline.
3. What is Late Entry?
Late Entry are pickers who cannot make thrie picks on time. Pickers can still pick their players before the Late Entry deadline (usually before Day 2 first match). But your scoring points will be counted only 50%(TBC) and each player can only enjoy two late entry each year(except 2011 Madrid).
